Under the cut you will find some adjustments that will be happening in our group over the next month. Some are things we decided to change after a lot of conversation and some things we feel the need to reinforce so that we can further grow as a group and guarantee Hermosa Beach’s longevity! We ask nothing but your understanding and your love as we mean absolutely no harm and don’t aim to make anyone feel singled out. (this is sounding way worse than it is!!). Anyway, please remember that when you go through this note, leave a like so we know you have read it and if you have any more suggestions, our inbox is open!
ACTIVITY.
From now on we will be way more attentive with activity and there will be less leniency. Meaning that we will know who has been posting just to avoid being unfollowed. Please remember that one, two, three posts every three days does not save you from being unfollowed and please do not use the activity check as a warning of when you should post on your character. We know that we have a small number of members now which makes it even more important for people to be active.
We have posted about bubble rping already and we do hope that it will not be a problem in this rp. Notes about bubble rping will not be posted as a warning anymore. We will message people directly and discuss with them. We understand that sometimes chemistry is easier with some characters, but it does not mean that you need to exclude others in favor of those you prefer rping with. This also pertains to how quickly you reply to some in favor of others.
If you’re on hiatus, it does not mean that you can only roleplay with one person.
As for second and third characters, your activity will count for this too, so if we don’t find that you have been active enough to pick up more characters, we will reserve the right to tell you to wait if we feel that is best.
STARTERS.
We want to ask members to post more open starters that are easier to reply to. Please remember that it’s easier to develop a three line starter into a full para, than sometimes having the muse to reply to a full para or semi para length starter.
There is still no starter rule included, we don’t need you to reply to starters before you post your own, but we would like if you would. Please pay attention to the starters that have only a few notes and do not drop your replies without telling people you have been roleplaying with.
COMMUNICATION WITH THE ADMIN TEAM.
As always communication with us is very very very encouraged and important. We are open to receiving criticism and your suggestions that will certainly make us a better group. You can come to us, preferably off anon, (but you can come anonymously) and as usual, we ask that if you are having a problem with another member of the group, or something happening with the group, you come to us first and please don’t try to fix things on your own. We are here to mediate and help the situation. We are here for you. 💖

Hello lovely members! This is a quick note to say that our bonfire event has officially ended. You can keep your threads from the event for as long as seems fitting for you but this means that no event starters should be posted anymore and people can go back to everyday roleplaying and plotting!

As noted in our most recent admin post, something Rosa and I would like to do is to add some official locations to our main page for reference and for job opportunities for characters. We wanted to make a note about something that has been pointed out to us for the first time and that we have been noticing happening on the dash which is bubble rping.
When we first made this roleplay, we aimed it to be a safe space where you could roleplay, make friends and most of all, feel included in what was happening. Which is why we most definitely do not allow bubble rping.
We don’t want to call anyone out or message people just yet but it’s something we should all be conscious of. We encourage you to break out of your comfort zone, and reach out to other people, plot and if you don’t feel like plotting, answer to random starters from people who are also on the dash with you!!! Don’t just respond to those who responded to your starter, or keep roleplaying with the same people or person you have been roleplaying with. If we notice that you’re constantly roleplaying with just one (even if you’re technically on hiatus) we will have to address that and if it continues we would encourage you to move on and start a 1x1 rping with said person.
That being said, we would also like you to pay more attention to underloved starters. At this moment we have a few starters in the tag with very few replies to them and that’s unfair to folks who reply to your starters. We still don’t want to impose starter rules, but if that continues, we will have to. Please pay attention to others, inclusion is very important to us and we’re sure you all want to be included as well!
This is the first time we've had to address and issues in the group and we’d hate to have to start messaging people directly but will do so if need be. We want everyone here to have fun as the group moves forward and to feel as included as they can possibly be. All we ask is that you try with us so that everyone can feel as comfortable as possible and this group can grow and continue to be around!
