This task is all about your character’s music taste! Whether they still like to listen to CDs, they’re a Tidal, Spotify or Apple Music subscriber, we want to know more about your character through music. 

For this task:

Playlist:

Create a ten song playlist that serves as a summary of your character or what would be their top ten songs (overall or currently) This can be done via Youtube Links, a link to a spotify playlist, etc. Whatever feels comfortable for you! You don’t have to have a graphic to accompany the playlist but feel free to get creative. 

Questions: In addition to the playlist, below are a few questions to help you tell us a little more about your character’s music taste:

What song are your listening to most right now?  What song do you wish you could stop hearing everywhere you go? What’s your go to song when you’re sad? Have you ever been to a concert? If so, what was the first concert you went to and how old were you?  What song makes you most nostalgic? If you had to choose a theme song, what would it be?                 If you had to choose a theme song, what would it be?                “It would have to be the great gig in the sky by Pink Floyd.”

Honestly it’s a tie I can’t pick. I grew up on these bands                         and I love them to death.”

In addition to the playlist, below are a few questions to help you tell us a little more about your character’s music taste:

What song are your listening to most right now? - Probably Endless Gray by Sworn In -- I’m not sure why, though, it’s just really addictive and fun to me.

What song do you wish you could stop hearing everywhere you go? - I mostly only listen to my own music and don’t go out to stores much or listen to the radio.. 

What’s your go to song when you’re sad? - Anything by Brand New, even though I don’t want to listen to them anymore.. They’ve gotten me through a lot though.

Have you ever been to a concert? If so, what was the first concert you went to and how old were you?  - I haven’t ever been to a real concert, but I’ve been to a few smaller shows. You know, in tiny venues where every one is sweating and it’s really, really loud.

What song makes you most nostalgic? - Anything by, like, The Offspring, the Spill Canvas, The Used, Jimmy Eat World.. You’re So Last Summer by Taking Back Sunday wips out the skater boy haircut flashbacks.

If you had to choose a theme song, what would it be? - I don’t know what song describes me like this.. There’s a few songs that I don’t listen to too often because I feel they do and it’s weird, but I don’t even remember what they are until they shuffle back on because I avoid them so often, haha.

If you could choose any artist or band to see live right at this moment, who would you want to see the most? - Oh, I don’t... I don’t think I have anyone.. Maybe, like, AC/DC... Metallica, Slayer.. The old gods like them, you know? All the music I like now, besides that old stuff, are bands I can still catch in tiny venues around town.

Task One (Part 1/3): Visuals

Peter lives in a very nice apartment on the more expensive side of The Sand Section. It boasts an ocean view from the balcony with a large bedroom, bathroom, and walk-in closet to accompany it. It’s pretty much what one could call a ritzy bachelor pad. His apartment’s aesthetic is pretty minimalist, although he wouldn’t be Peter if he didn’t have photographs everywhere, whether they be of himself, his family and friends, the ocean, or anything else in between. He also has his trusty dog, Jake, to keep guard of the place.

Our first task will be all about where and how your character lives. Regardless of what neighborhood they live in, we want to know more about how their living space is and how they function in it.

For this task:

Visuals

What does your characters apartment/house/residence look like? This can be done through a moodboard of pictures, a link to a pinterest board, however you want to make it possible is up to you!

Morning Routine:

What is your character’s morning routine like? Do they drink coffee or tea? Do they sleep in? Are they an early riser? We’d like to see this done in the form of a self para (or a para with a roommate if they have one in the rp!) It can be bullet points or full paragraph form but we’d like to get a little peek into how they function (or don’t function) in the morning!

Closet/Wardrobe

What is your character’s style? This is California so it probably doesn’t include a lot of parkas but we’re sure that there is a variety of style choices! Let’s see what their closet look like. This can be done through a moodboard of pictures, a link to a pinterest board, however you want to make it possible is up to you

As a reminder, you can find more information about the Hermosa neighborhoods here. Please be realistic with this task and stay true to your character’s income and resources. (ex. if someone is a barista, it is highly unlikely they’ll be able to afford a place on The Strand, etc.) If your character has a roommate who is in the rp, please make sure you coordinate with that person to make things accurate. It can also be done in several posts since there are three parts to this task!

             Fabian lives in a low key apartment in Hermosa Valley. He doesn’t have cable but he uses streaming sights such as Netflix and Hulu He’s still working on buying a television. Fabian picked his apartment because it’s a short commute to work, close to the park, and not too far from the beach. Though it’s at the very top of his budget, he’s very happy and is super excited to start a life in Hermosa.
