Can you explain how you think the song "Boats and Birds" by Gregory and the Hawk describes Amy and Eleven well?
okay i'm really bad at stuff like this, but i'll break down the lyrics for you and explain how I interpret the song c:
okay, so the first verse is, i believe, from the doctor to amy:
If you'll be my star I'll be your skyYou can hide underneath me and come out at nightWhen I turn jet black And you show off your light I live to let you shine I live to let you shine
i guess that verse shows how the doctor brings out the best in amy and his companions? like, how they 'show off their light', their assets, when he's 'jet black' - when he's getting out of control/needs help.
and the ~chorus~ ish type verse which would be from amy to the doctor:
But you can skyrocket away from me And never come back if you find another galaxy Far from here with more room to fly Just leave me your stardust to remember you by
this verse shows her acceptance of his nature, and how she knows he is going to leave one day because he continuously 'skyrockets' away from her. it's pretty much a self explanatory section, i think? taken in a very literal way in this context c:
