The next morning when you woke you found your head on Peter’s chest and frankly you were not going to remove yourself. You gently nuzzled his chest and to your surprise his arm wrapped around your back.
“Morning,” he mumbled, only barely awake.
“You’re ridiculously comfortable,” you greeted him with.
He let out a soft chuckle. “Well I’m glad you think I make a good pillow.”
You sat up slowly, knowing that even though you two agreed to be more comfortable with each other, it was still just the two of you and you probably didn’t want to creep him out more than he probably already was.
If asked, Peter would have told you you could stay; however, he wasn’t going to make you do anything you didn’t want to. Even if you had just told him along the lines of you liked to sleep on him.
“I’m going to go get ready for the day,” you told him, slipping from your bed. “I won’t be long, but if you don’t wanna wait only Steve’s staying on this side of the penthouse, and he wakes up super early so you can use the other bathroom if you want.”
He nodded. “Yeah, that might be a good idea,” he said, sitting up.
You nodded and left him as he gathered his own things and left the room.
After that your day seemed to fly by. You stuck as close as possible to Peter. You were not going to have your fake relationship questioned.
You were finally getting ready to leave for the rehearsal when Steve finally pulled you aside. You kissed Peter’s cheek and squeezed his hand before leaving him with Bruce. You liked that the two clicked well, not everyone really got along with the man, mostly just your dad and Nat. “What’s up Steve?” You asked your friend once the two of you were alone.
“Did you two actually get together or something?” He asked, he hadn’t seen you so comfortable around a guy before. Well, he had, but your makeshift family didn’t count. He just didn’t understand. Last night Peter seemed pretty animate about his belief that you deserve someone better than him. Not that Steve thought that, but if that’s what Peter thought he was curious as to what might have changed.
You chuckled. “I’m glad we’re being more convincing. No, we’re not together, I told you our plan, did you really think we did?”
He frowned at you but shrugged. “Did you guys really step it because you let it slip to Sharon and Wanda that you weren’t happy with Jason?”
You quickly looked away from him. “What else could I do?”
“I don’t know, but just be careful. It looks a little suspicious don’t you think?” He asked, this was starting to get messy in his eyes. “What if one of them said something to your dad? I think he’d go ballistic.”
He did have a point. You sighed. “No more slip ups like that, I promise. But we’re not going to tone it back down, I think that would actually call for some questioning.”
“Just,” Steve started, he wanted to tell you again to be careful, it wasn’t hard to tell that fake Jason liked you. He still had yet to figure out if you liked him but he didn’t want you to accidently hurt this kids feelings and it blow up in your face. “Promise me something?”
Your eyebrow raised at his request, “What?”
“If you actually start to have feelings for this guy, tell him.” Steve more demanded than asked.
You blushed some at his response. You knew things were starting to blur, pretending to not pretend was smudging out a line you knew you probably shouldn’t be crossing. Peter didn’t sign up for feelings. What if you told him you might be falling for him and he didn’t like you back. “Th-that’s ridiculous, Steve.” You commented, trying to hide these facts.
Steve didn’t need anymore proof. He felt kind of bad actually, now not only did he have it figured out that this guy liked you, you liked him back. And frankly, he thought you’d be good for each other. But he couldn’t intervene like that, so he refrained. “Just, if you do, okay?”
You searched Steve’s face, the small smirk he was trying to hide from you gave you your answer that he knew more than he was telling. You didn’t question him, instead you nodded in agreement. “Y-yeah, okay.”
He stepped towards you, turned you around and threw his arm around your shoulders. It was time to get to the rehearsal. The faster that was over with the faster everyone could relax for a bit and enjoy a dinner together.
A/N: Sorry this is taking me forever. I broke my finger so the small bit that I get on my computer I’m not writing because it’s annoying. I have a week left of break then I should be back in the swing of things!

You pulled Peter off the elevator when it finally reached the top. You felt bad that he was being forced into this now. “We’re gonna take our bags back to my room and get ready,” You started to your dad as you crossed over to the living room. “Just call-” You didn’t get the sentence out as you were scooped up from behind into a hug.
Peter jumped, unsure of what to do, he hadn’t even heard anyone come up behind the two of you. He must have been too lost in thought thinking about how he was going to get through this party without you.
“How’s my favorite girl doing?” The person hugging you asked.
Your confusion quickly dissipated into a large smile. “Steve! I missed you,” You said, as he set you down, that didn’t stop you from turning around and hugging him yourself.
“I missed you too,” He said, smiling, until he finally acknowledged the young man standing beside you. He was skeptical to say the least. Of course you never really told him good things Jason had done, you only ever complained to him about him when you were upset about something. You defended Jason, just not ever enough for Steve to let go of anything you’d told him.
Little did Peter know about that though, so when the smile hardened into something else his amazement at the man in front of him turned to fear.
“Steve, this is Jason,” you introduced, putting a hand on Peter’s shoulder. You could tell by the look on both their faces this probably wasn’t going to end well. You’d have to remember to talk to Steve later.
“Pleasure,” Steve said, holding his hand out for Peter to shake.
“It’s nice to meet you,” Peter answered shaking his hand, wishing he didn’t have to. Steve wasn’t trying to break his hand, he knew, but he really didn’t hold back his grip either. So, Peter did his best to show him he wasn’t a wimpy jerk. He didn’t need anyone to tell him that Steve didn’t trust him, he could tell just by the look in his eyes. He honestly respected that.
You found yourself gravitating back to Peter’s side. “We’re gonna go get settled, call us when it’s time to go,” You retook Peter’s hand and tugged him along to grab your bags.
“Way to scare the kid,” You heard your dad say to Steve.
“Is there a reason the Captain America just tried to break my hand?” Peter asked, once you were finally out of earshot.
You chuckled at Peter’s use of Steve’s nickname, but when you thought over your answer you sighed. “He just doesn’t like Jason,” You admitted, hoping that would be the end of it.
“I thought you said no one knew him,” Peter countered, thinking that if Steve did know him, he might not fall for this and say something to your dad.
“He doesn’t,” You answered, entering your room.
Peter paused, amazed by how large your room was, he was pretty sure he could fit two of his and Aunt May’s apartment in there. He had the passing thought of how much of a downgrade your school apartment must be to you. But he held off any of those comments in favor of continuing this conversation. “So, if he doesn’t know him then how come he looked like he wanted to rip my head off?”
You dropped your bag on the floor in front of your bed before flopping down onto it. “Look, I’ll admit, I wasn’t always happy with Jason… and sometimes I may have not always not gone to complain to someone… and that someone may or may not have always been Steve…”
Peter sighed, no wonder. “That would have been nice to know beforehand.”
“I’m sorry,” You sighed, rubbing your forehead, trying to think of the best solution. “I’m going to go talk to him, I just need to wait until someone else gets here to distract my dad. If I pull Steve aside and tell my dad to bug off he’s going to know something is going on so I have to time it right.”
“What are you going to tell him?” He asked, finally setting his bag down next to yours.
You sat up and looked at him. “I’m going to tell him the truth.”
Peter rubbed the back of his neck. “I-Is that really a good idea? What if he tells your dad? Or, since he hates this guy already, what if he tries to go after him or something?”
You chuckled. “He wouldn’t because if he even thinks about it I’ll tell him not to.”
Peter nodded. “So, what now?”
You shrugged. “F.R.I.D.A.Y. let me know when more people get here, please!” You called.
“Yes, Miss Stark,” The ai answered.
You moved up to the top of your bed. “Well, I’m going to take a quick nap, you’re more than welcome to join me or wander around or watch tv… but we should probably get used to being in a bed with each other since we’ll be sharing one all weekend.”
Peter blushed lightly and rubbed the back of his neck. He’d just about forgotten about that little hiccup. But, he figured you were right, if he got the awkward first step out of the way, at least he wouldn’t have to do it later on when the two of you were actually trying to go to bed. He thought about offering to take the floor, but he already knew you weren’t going to let that happen since your mind was already made up. So, he settled into place beside you.
Summary: Fake boyfriend trope. Your boyfriend of a few years breaks up with you. So, you need someone to pretend to be him for a weekend to go home and meet your family.
