Fifty years ago was when first contact with alien life was made, and with that, everything on Earth began to change. As if the knowledge that we were not alone in the universe was some kind of cue, one by one, people with strange powers began to be born. Varying from everything between telepathy, to superhuman strength, to pyrokinesis, these strange powers caused something on an uproar amongst the people of Earth- as well as the presence of aliens, of course. For awhile, it was very uncertain what was going to happen- but eventually, things began to settle down into a normal pace of life once more. Although those with superhuman powers did not disappear, the fear that they would overrun the Earth quickly proved unfounded- especially since some of those same people vowed to rise up to stop anyone who dared to try.
Now fifty years into the future, in the city of Yokohama, a young girl by the name of Ayumi Sakagami is just now discovering that she too has a fantastic supernatural power- namely the ability to manipulate gravity. Although she was already aware of her abilities as an empath, this newfound power was more than she ever expected. She never truly planned on using it, not feeling that she had the courage to become a hero- however that changed when she met Enen and Gureru, two members of an alien race known as Fairies, and befriended them. It wasn't long before she realized that something of great power was looking for them, and not wanting to see her two new friends get hurt, Ayumi decided that she would protect them.
With the encouragement of her two new fairy friends, Ayumi decided that she would become a hero after all. Naming herself Echo, Ayumi made her debut as a superheroine and quickly entered the news. Honestly, she's still quite unsure about all of these, given her own shy personality- but now that she's made her decision to help, she's decided that she's going to do her best and stick with it. And maybe along the way she make friends with some of her fellow heroes?
