A year ago, I had an idea to make an AU where Honoka and Nagisa take the place of the witchy cure duo! Nagisa would swap with Mirai, and Honoka with Riko! (So in a way kind of like a swap AU?? though I hadn't come up with any plans for mirai or riko in the context of futari wa precure)
As for Mipple and Mepple, they both share the role of mofurun, both originally being plush toys (though I might have them be like "keychains" to match with the original where they're on their bags)
Not sure how Pollun or Lulun would fit in to the story, it'd be nice to have them be like Kotoha for the AU, but Hikari would definitely be a better fit
Tho here is a short summary for my AU idea!! It still needs to be more detailed but I hope it gets the point across!!
Honoka has to take remedial classes for magic school due to her causing a huge incident involving magic. Similarily to Riko, she goes to the No-Magic World in search of the linkle stone emeralds, more so to conduct research onto them. Just like in the first episode of futari wa, Nagisa makes a wish to the meteor showers, then she finds Honoka flying on her witch's broom.
