And now for a bit of Precure AU on this blog! I must say, I’m rather pleased with how this design turned out overall.. it’s quite nice!

The Great Dark Witch, is of course, an AU version of Dark Precure for the “cute witch” themed Precure AU, Pretty Witch. As the leader of the Black Magic Guild, she’s trying to gather negative energy to take over the country of fairies, Marchenland.

On the planet of Earth, whenever a great threat rose up to threaten it's people, they were greeted by the resistance of a force known as the Precure. Otherwise normal girls granted fantastic powers by magical items, they became the legendary warriors to battle off these great evil powers, and saved the world, time and time again. No matter what the odds, they always rose up to fight again, refusing to give up even after things began to look completely helpless. For seven years, though, Earth has been completely at peace, and there has been no need for the Precure to appear. Just when it looked like this would continue, they appeared- coming straight out of the past of the legendary warriors, the revived warriors of darkness, under the lead of the Ash Prince, they sought to reduce the world as we know it to rubble. However, once again, the legendary warriors rose up. Under the mentorship of the two last active duty legendary warriors, Cure Muse and Cure Ace, and the guidance of the most legendary of Precure, Cure Echo, the new Precure team is none other than the younger sisters of the previous Precure, now grown up. Lead by Minori Hyuuga, the younger sister of Cure Bloom, they are ready to face the threat that is at once new and old, resolving that like their sisters before them, they will save the world. But perhaps this threat is more deeply connected to the past of the previous Precure than they could ever realize- and the true identity of the Ash Prince may be tired directly to the one time the legendary warriors failed to save everyone they set out to save. What's more, with the mysterious reappearance of an old enemy turned ally, a girl once known as the fearsome Dark Precure, it seems like the power of the Ash Prince is not the only one in the works here.

Kanade Minamino as she appears in United Worlds.

A half-Tanuki girl, who takes much more after her human father, Kanade has learned from him the art of Western pastry making. Although she is known to be somewhat bossy and can sometimes have trouble seeing things from other people's point of view, she does have a caring heart. She often worries very much about her friends, sometimes more than they actually worry about themselves. She is currently employed at the Major Land embassy, after being brought there by Hibiki, who saved her and her brother from being captured and sold off as an 'oddity'. Although she's half youkai, it's not very apparent, and outside of the ability to mimic other people's voices, she doesn't have any special abilities, though she does posses a tanuki's ears and tail, which she conceals. Kanade wishes that her brother wasn't so in love with pranking other people, and although she means well most of the time, she can sometimes be too harsh on him. She currently teaches a baking class at the embassy, and seems to have a powerful crush on Ouji.

Blooming Princess

Once, thousands of years ago, a witch of great power rose up and turned against humanity, turning to black magic in order to accomplish her goals. That witch, Dyspear, was sealed away, using the power of the legendary Divine Princess, and has been slumbering deep underneath the Hope Kingdom ever since. In current day, most believe that the legend of Dyspear is just that- a legend. But when the great witch is unsealed suddenly, it becomes very clear that the legend is true. In order to prevent Dyspear from claiming the world as her own, the power of the new Divine Princess is needed, and thus Prince Kanata of the Hope Kingdom, orders his faithful knight, Minami Kaido, and his most powerful summoner, Kirara Amanogawa, to seek her out, and protect her from Dyspear and her forces. They find her in simple village girl, Haruka Haruno, who had always dreamed of being a princess ever since she was a little girl- and now that she's facing her dream come true, she's determined to do everything she can to accomplish it, and to save the world from destruction. Weakened from thousands of years of sleep, Dyspear seeks to reclaim her power, for now sending out her servants in her stead. Using the powerful shadow witch Twilight, and the black magic user, Mirage, she attacks the neighboring Blue Sky Kingdom, Trump Kingdom, and the country of Major Land. Targeting the three sacred treasures needed to help seal her away, treasures that have been hidden within the kingdom, she intends to destroy them before they can be used against her. The monarchs of these three kingdoms respond to her threat, gathering their own parties of warriors, spearheaded by the princesses of their countries.

Dark Moonlight, for the Dark Precure/Cure Moonlight roleswap, Blossoming Moon.

I definitely wanted to still draw from Cure Moonlight for this design, since it’s unlikely Yuri will become a proper Precure in this AU- of course, I combined it with some elements of canon Dark Precure as well.

And some design concepts for the superhero AU, Hero’s Echo!

I chose Starlight Fortune and Crimson Fist (Iona and Seiji) to show off the two types of costumes that are used in the story. Iona’s is part of the package deal with her powers, it appears as needed, so obviously it can be more flashy. It’s vaguely based off of Pine Arabian in places, with her overskirt.

Seiji’s hero outfit is just shit he pulled out of his closet though, and of course it incorporates a hoodie because Seiji is the king of hoodie losers.

A sketchdump for Exorcist’s Flower.

It was originally slated to be a purely Heartcatch AU, but after realizing that I needed some more characters, Miyuki, Reika, Iona and Seiji (and by extension, Maria, Mao, and Hiroko) wormed their way into the story. This sketchdump mostly focuses on the summoned spirits!

AU, Dokipre roleswap. The Trump Kingdom has fallen- and has left Makoto Kenzaki as it’s only survivor. Fleeing to Earth in pursuit of her missing princess, she is about ready to give up on the search until a year later, three new fairies appear before her. But while the first two Precure, Heart and Rosetta, are quickly found, the third appears to be missing. It seems that there is indeed something strange going on here- and it’s been going on long before Makoto, or any of her new friends, were even born- especially if the presence of an unusual boy with golden eyes amongst their circle is anything go by.

The third chapter, after a very long wait is here! I’ll try to be a little quicker about updates in the future~!

Childhood Meeting

I wrote an AU type oneshot! I’ve been wanting to write this one for awhile, after discussing it with Lumi and Kyon- a story about Hime getting to meet Megumi, Yuko, and Seiji as children. I tried to work in Iona, but it just wasn’t working out.

Childhood Meeting Continuity: Happiness Charge Precure Characters: Hime Shirayuki, Megumi Aino, Yuko Omori, Seiji Sagara Summary: A what if story about them meeting as children.

At the time, it had seemed like a good idea.

Chances to venture outside of the palace were few and far between for the young princess of the Blue Sky Kingdom. Naturally her parents were worried that something might happen to her, even in a kingdom as peaceful as the Blue Sky Kingdom. Not to mention all of her numerous princess lessons kept the young girl known as Himelda quite busy.

But today was different!

Not only was Himelda not in the palace, but she was completely outside of the Blue Sky Kingdom. Her parents had made a diplomatic trip to a town called Pikarigaoka, and had decided to bring their daughter along with them. She was quite excited about this, since they had promised to take her to the zoo once their work was done, and she had never been to such a place before!

But, right now, her mother and father were busy, leaving the young princess to be minded by the maids that had been brought along. At first the simple change of scenery was enough for her- her parents had told her this building was their embassy, of a sorts, but now Himelda was beginning to get more than a little bored.

And when she got bored- she tended to wander. It wasn’t uncommon for the young princess to sneak away from her lessons at the palace, using secret passages that only she knew about. It was a grand adventure for her, even if it usually resulted in her getting lost- the palace was rather big, after all, and she was indeed, still a very small girl.

She probably should have remembered her habit of getting lost, but as it was, the second she had a chance, the young princess slipped away from the Blue Sky Kingdom’s embassy, and hurried on her way. It was only later that she realized that she had no idea where she was going, or where anything was in this town called Pikarigaoka- and although she attempted to keep her spirits up at first, feeling that she could just retrace her steps, that got all messed up too.

It was all that dog’s fault! If it hadn’t startled her by barking so loudly, she wouldn’t have run away from it like that!

I was talking to pollyannaisms about a Hachapre CCS AU, which got me thinking about like a general Precure CCS AU, revolving around Ayumi capturing like, Precure Cards.

I tired to make a list of Clow Cards and what Precure they would tie too, but obviously I ran out of easy connections to make in various places. So if something makes you go ???? I wouldn’t recommend thinking too hard about it, at some point I just started slapping down remaining names.
