Immortal Unchained

It took me five years, plenty of bitching, quite a few failed attempts across three systems (P4, PC, P5) and so much more, but thanks to my older brother sitting through and watching me (and just being general support and keeping me from self-cannibalism due to rage and anger) I have finally beaten it.

Some minor thoughts on this five-year journey.

This game will not be my go-to Gun-Souls, I’ll sooner mod Dark Souls 1 to have it be my Gun-Souls than this, but it was an experience. I wish a lot of things could’ve been different, I wish there had been more polish and more shine, I wish it wasn’t trying to hard to be like Dark Souls 2, and I wish it didn’t do so poorly. If it were to get a sequel that improved upon its base, I think it could be a real hit. I’d hope they’d change A LOT but I would play it. 

Overall, it’s not great, but it’s not horrible enough to banish into the Shadow Realm. 

If you’re looking at it and thinking about trying it, go for it. You might have a better time with it than I did, and you might have more fun with it, but if you end up wanting to create a physical copy of it to fire it into the sun, I can’t blame you.

I dunno which being of luck is looking over me, but right now, I know they got my back fr fr.

So, as you all know or maybe don’t since I don’t really post here :V I’m doing a Violet Nuzlocke for the channel. Right now, I’m doing some off-screen grinding to up my odds of beating this Nuzlocke... and during the grind, I found THREE random shinies. Just... wow. JaymerX is gonna be salty about this XD, but honestly, I’m blown away. Hell, if the Nuzlocke fails, I might just try and make it into a challenge run with the shinies I got. I’ll still have some of the rules lifted over, but legit, wow.

I’m not gonna make a video about it, but, seeing the state of the world, I wanna say this.

This channel, this tumblr, my twitter, etc. are a safe place for all of you. I’m happy to have you watching regardless of who you are or where you came from. So long as everything you do is between consenting adults and legal, I welcome you. 

My content will not be bringing up the topics, not because I don’t care or disagree with anything, but because I want my channel and etc. to be a place away from all the chaos. A little slice of peace to help you guys keep going. Just a big guy with a big heart trying to be silly and help you through the day with some silly content. 

I wanna try to make you laugh and just forget about the bad things, give you a place and space to just take a deep breath, reset, and then tackle the problems. I want to be your bonfire on the road. I want to be your lantern where you gather with others and get ready for the challenge ahead. 

IF any bit of my content can do that for you, even if it’s just one of my shorter ones, I’m glad and thank you for choosing me to be the one to help you. Even if you don’t watch it full, but just enough to get to the funny bits, thank you, and I’m glad I could help ^ ^.

Gosh

Sometimes, the biggest obstacle between me and posting something is the mental gymnastics I go through. 

‘Yeah I post up how I wanna get a kirby game for my little sister!’ “Yeah but, what if people take issue with that? Would they even care about that? What if you’re not able to get it for her? What if-” ‘...I... I just like Kirby and so does she... wouldn’t it be fine or cute?’ “...But, there are so many what-ifs!” ‘:c’ BRAIN LET ME FUCKING GUSH ABOUT KIRBY AND HOW MUCH i LOVE THE CHARACTER! LEMME TALK ABOUT HOW i WANNA PLAY THE GAME FOR MY LITTLE SIS SO WE CAN HAVE FUN WATCHING KIRBY BE AWESOME!

WELP 2022 IS CERTAINLY OFF TO A START!

I can’t help but be reminded of the phrase ‘Life comes at you fast’ and yes it certainly is right now. With any luck, things will return to a form of normal and everything will be alright in time. 

Hopefully I’ll still find time to relax and chill as well as do all the extra stuff I would normally.

Feelin Productive

There is something about doing the dishes, first thing, that seems to give a little charge to your day. For me, at least, it kinda helps me get things done and do things I had planned for the day. Hopefully I can keep that same energy throughout the week XD.

Xenoverse 2 (Switch)

Super glad I finally took part in the World Martial Arts Tournament this time around! Great to finally have some of my thoughts about my skills confirmed, see where I need improvements, and see how well my temper either holds or flares up, match-up dependent as always. I might try more actually PVP stuff in the future rather than keep fighting against Jaymer. A little more fun that way ^ ^
