     “oh, it is so not my day.” weiss says this like she’s the one standing there covered in an iced venti caramel latte no foam no sugar that was shoved against her chest by a total stranger who wasn’t looking where she was going. no, that’s this unfortunate blonde girl she’s never seen before (probably another product of the vytal festival, and not a participant if the lack of weapon is anything to go by). “i have napkins, if that helps.”

          she’s jolted awake from a dream , her entire body on high alert. heavy breaths fill the silence of the night , catra trying hard to control herself , to remember what had been so bad that -- nothing. whatever her dream had been , it’s gone now. sitting up on the foot of the bed , legs tucked beneath her , the girl groans. it’s gonna take forever to fall back asleep , she can feel the adrenaline pumping through her veins , fight or flight instincts gripping at her heart.

         if she didn’t fall back asleep , she’s be exhausted in the morning. shadow weaver wouldn’t be happy. yeah , so what’s new ? nails claw into the mattress below her , something almost soothing in this harmless act of destruction.

 “ Oh yeah ? I don’t have to answer your questions . I don’t have to do anything you tell me to , Adora . You’re a traitor . Why would I give you anything else ? You clearly don’t have a problem doing away with people who are EXPENDABLE to you . ” Her fur stood on end , she could feel these emotions bubbling inside her chest . Anger , a great anger , and a terrible sadness . Just looking at Adora upset her . She hated her so much for leaving her , for breaking her promise , for leaving her with Shadow - Weaver . So why did she feel like her heart was breaking ? The horde taught her that being vulnerable was a weakness . If she had to … she’d tear out her heart herself so no one else could hurt her again . Not again .
