my mom made katsudon for dinner tonight 🍲 it’s my favorite. i mean, it’s always been my favorite, ever since i was little. she makes it really well, like the egg’s never too runny but also not too firm, just the right balance, and the pork cutlet is crispy but somehow soft at the same time—i don’t even know how she does it?? i was thinking, maybe that’s the kind of food heroes eat after a long patrol, right?? like, it’s hearty and filling but also warm and comforting, and you’d need that after saving people all day. actually now that i think about it, maybe each hero has a specific food they like to recharge with? i should make a list. maybe All Might likes something more American like steak? no wait, in that one interview he mentioned loving Japanese cuisine so maybe katsudon could be his favorite too?? imagine if we had the same favorite food that would be… wow. okay anyway. dinner was good.
