A bit of a change this Sunday. Jacqui has family in town and I joined my colleagues to serve lunch for the amazing volunteers of @herowork - I am here on this earth to be of service and though I may work in a hotel, this is on a much higher level! Watching people volunteer their time to build and transform a space for a great cause is truly amazing. This day was a very full Day, hence I am writing about it in day 7!
I started the day with a volunteer shift that lasted until lunch. No breakfast and lunch was a burger from DQ. No fries, no drink. I was exhausted after a gruelling shift hauling concrete and sanding doors for three hours. This gave me energy to get on my scooter and get out to a beautiful park. Here are some pictures:
I was passing this very high quality rustic pizza place, and did stop for a small bite of pizza and can of coke. Not on my good list for sure!
I ended the day with lots of dancing out with J and chicken fingers and a couple of veggie wraps to cap the night.
Not my best day, but holy smokes, I did a lot of activity through the entire day. I vowed to do better the next day…and luckily I know that it turned out well (so far!)
I would normally write a bit more, but I am going to have to delay this as PB and J have a date night, and grading my students papers took WAY to long! I always underestimate the time i takes to comment on all the papers…so I will continue tomorrow! Ciao!
