Zero Parades does look interesting and I was considering pirating it, but at the same time when you remember what happened to Kurvitz and his team.. yeah. All the screencaps and quotes I’ve seen do feel like pseudo intellectual purple prose that wants to imitate disco so much.. yet fails to realize that disco worked because yes, it was profound but at the same time oh so simple. You cannot imitate the writing style and charm of a game you fired the lead writers of.
Not to mention that DE started as a 10 year long campaign. You can feel the history and care the creators put in. I’m sure the artists who did work on DE and now on ZP did put their soul into it, but ZP feels like a cash grab.
Besides, the game is trying to say that the MC being a spy is more political than Harry being a cop. In 2026, cmon. Really missing the point, but at the end of the day ZP and what it represents meta wise is just pseudointellectualist slop that wants to be thought provoking and leftist, while it ends up liberal/centrist.
