Add the eggs one at a time, making sure to beat well after each one. Add the flour, baking soda, and salt to a different bowl. Slowly add to the butter mixture and mix well. If you want to, add chopped nuts and Hershey's Toffee Bits and mix well. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets that have not been greased. For 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just barely golden. For a few minutes, let them cool on the baking sheets. Then, move them to wire racks to cool completely.
