I have a question for dogblr

I have now owned the full range of small medium to large sized dogs

Ive only personally had one of each but i also had plenty of friends and family who had dogs when i was growing up (mainly small-medium breeds tho) so that brings up my sample size a bit. One thing ive noticed is that large dogs have this tendency to look at things behind them....upside down.

For example:

Small dogs seem to do this the least in my experience. Medium sized dogs do it slightly more. But big dogs. Big dogs seem to do this a lot. But i havent actually known a lot of big dogs so its possible the ones ive known are just weirdos. But val does this all. The. Time. Where she'll just be sitting next to me or in front me or whatever with her back to me and if i talk to her or she wants me to pet her she just. Tips her head back and stares at me. Usually with her tongue lolling out. My friends golden retriever growing up would do the same thing.

Layla never did it. She would just. Turn her head to the side. Like a person. Chewby generally does the same. And this lines up with what ive observed with other small and medium sized dogs.

Is this just a common big dog thing? Or is mine just weird?
