🛒 What are some common things you incorporate in your fics? Themes, feels, scenes, imagery, etc.

when it comes to themes, im gonna say "autumn" bwahaha, for some reason i love autumn scenery and i always try to put some of it into my story, how it symbolizes change, transition, the last burst of color and life, how the winter and darkness approach. i also really like the progression of independence to realizing you need people around you in fiction, that's another one that appears in almost all stories of mine.

another common scene in my writing is a character seeing another character and then describing their appearance in great detail (esp if there is a certain ~attraction~ to said character).

also giving characters earrings, clips, hair accessories, etc. i love a pretty person with little accessories<3

🤭 Do you have a favorite tag to use when posting your works?

aaooghhh, too many? i haven't posted that much, but i love hurt/comfort and i love anything with like "character name" and then a description (like "bamf hiccup haddock" or "hiccup haddock is a reckless maniac") like that!

🧠 Pick a character, and I'll tell you my favorite headcanon for them.

you picked ryker!!! my biggest headcanon for him is that he genuinely cared for viggo, and when he "took over" the hunters he was doing it to help, not to actually rebel.

hear me out: throughout the series, we only ever see viggo be physically and verbally aggressive towards ryker, insulting his intelligence, snapping at him, raising his voice, to then grabbing ryker by the throat on two separate occasions. ryker never retaliated, even though it's established that ryker is physically stronger than viggo, and could easily fight back. there is also this line that keeps rotating through my head:

Dagur: Don't you ever just want to kick the living yak dung out of him?

Ryker: Of course I do. And I could. Easily. But I don't.

Dagur: And why would that be?

Ryker: He's my brother. Always remember that, Dagur.

i feel this line really encompasses ryker's character in the series, and it just makes me wonder. the only time ryker raised his voice at viggo was when they were standing on the shellfire ship in "twintuition" and viggo interrupted him by grabbing him by the throat. for the longest time, ryker also went along with everything viggo said even if he disagreed, combined with the fact that ryker should traditionally have been chief, but seems perfectly fine with viggo having that role.

my last piece of evidence is that ryker didn't kill viggo in "shellshock", but instead just put him in a hole, a little banged up but still fine. why not kill him on the spot? why risk viggo getting out and coming back if this is his big hostile takeover? and while viggo said he wanted to defeat ryker/kill him, ryker only wanted viggo back, but didn't specify what he wanted to do to viggo.

anyway, long story short, i genuinely think ryker wanted to protect viggo from sliding into obsession over hiccup by taking out the threat (hiccup). which kinda makes his ending more sad.
