I'm reading Frankenstein. In preparation of watching Del Toro's movie. And it's hilarious how relatable it is. Like victor heard one small slight from his father and decided, I'm going to overthink about it and make that my whole personality.
There are paragraphs about, how nice and loving and kind and gentle and what not his parents are. But none of this is considered when he decides to be like, oh my dad insulted my field of study. I hate him, my life and everything. Bye.
It's like Indian parents telling their children that arts suck and engineering or medicine is the only real career. And then you're like, you know what? I'm going to specifically hate you for saying that for the rest of my life.
It's fun.
