The Grand Scheme of Things
Sometimes I'll blog things, then hours or days later, I'll look back and see how absolutely unnecessary it was to blog. It wasn't encouraging, it wasn't uplifting, it didn't serve much of a purpose except for me to gush my emotions all over tumblr. Now, I am not saying that it isn't important to share certain emotions with people, because sometimes we need another person to come alongside us and help us bear burdens that are larger than we can carry on our own. That's biblical and is exactly how God created the church to work. But what I have been sharing is not that kind of burden, and in the grand scheme of things--in God's great plan--I should not be focusing on that as much as I currently have been.
Yes, I will struggle. Yes, I will post something and delete it again. Yes, I will gush to my friends about this (thank God for patient friends!). I am human and am bound to fall. But me deleting these posts and then posting something else that is edifying is me moving forward. That is me saying, "Lord, that is not edifying to those who see my blog. That is me being selfish, and I want to encourage those who see my blog with this other blessing I have found." So. Those who see this... please know that I am not trying to put off this aura of "perfection" by taking down "imperfect" posts. That is me surrendering my desire for this thing (well, person) to God. In the past I did not do this, and I will leave those posts. I want you to know that I am imperfect and never will be perfect. But God is perfect and is working in my life--praise Him!!--and I want to share the blessings He's given me with you. Thank you!
