You’re enough for me.
Experienced disbelief, annoyance, raging anger, and self-pity, all in the course of the past few hours. Just like Jacob I’m wrestling with God and with myself, wanting His blessings but not necessarily in a way I entirely expect. Let this cup pass from me now, but only if You will. Even if suffering, or loss, or shame be my cup, still I will praise you.
In this season, the song on my lips shall be, “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
For He’s all that I need and He’s enough for me. Nothing can separate me from His love, and everything works for the good of those who love Him. If it’s anyone that wants my ultimate good, it’s God.
