She’d just gotten off of work at such a place, holding little desire to remain, she yearned to return home but alas, she was without an umbrella so she stood with a faint pout, dark eyes gazing out toward the street, watching cars as they crept by, slowed by the blinding rain. {Sorry this took a while. Good thing he wasn’t in a rush… ;P My drafts folder seems to always be overflowing these days. But now it finally was your turn and I went to check out your blog and replied. So I hope this works for ya. If not, or if you wanna plot about this or anything else, just hit me up. :) }

“Why, thank you.” Smiling at the young blonde man, Regina took the cup of coffee to go that they both had reached for at the same time. To her recollection they hadn’t met before, but she had seen him around town of course. Storybrooke wasn’t that big after all.

Unlike him, she unfortunately was in quite a bit of a hurry because she was running late to a meeting for her re-election campaign. A few months ago it had been decided to finally hold official elections in Storybrooke and this time she wasn’t running unopposed. With only a week to go before the election she was a bit on the anxious side about it because in her opinion there really wasn’t anyone better suited to run her little town, as Snow’s short stint as Mayor had proven.

By now she was in full campaign mode and used every opportunity to garner votes, so with a little wink she handed the young gentleman a button. “Don’t forget to vote for me next week.” Just as she turned around to leave, her phone started ringing and with her free hand she dug through her purse to look for it, not seeing a couple of just as preoccupied kids running in her direction.

One of them bumped into her, causing her to drop her purse, spilling half of its contents all over the floor. “Oh, come on, seriously?!” She muttered in frustration over the fact that things like this always had to happen when you already were running late anyway. With a little sigh she knelt down and started picking up her stuff.
