Hetatober Prompt List 2025

Welcome to Hetapedia's Hetatober!

We've decided to do this prompt list to provide a creative challenge for members of the Hetalia community for the month of October! And to promote our blog, and by extension, Hetapedia itself!

Special thanks to @sebwayboi for creating the prompt list and this beautiful image!

Apologies for the rather late posting of this prompt list, we only had the idea to do this very recently. Hopefully the list being three days per prompt makes up for the late posting.

Please use the #hetapediatober25 hashtag and tag @hetapedia-official so that we can easily find your posts and reblog them!

Please mention or tag which prompt(s) you are creating for in your post(s).

Please also feel free to post your submissions on the discussion forum of the Hetalia Wiki! The prompt list will also be being posted there.

Some of these prompts are primarily centered around art, but any other forms of media are acceptable as long as the submission fits the prompt!

The prompts last for three days each, you do not need to do one post for each day.

It is not required to do every prompt, you may do as many or as little as you want to.

Don't worry about missing a day or not posting on time, late submissions are allowed!

There is no limit to how many characters can be included in your submissions, as long as they all are following the prompt.

The "Free Day" does not have to be Halloween themed. It is a free day to draw whatever you would like.

OCs are allowed!

All content MUST be your own creation.

All posts must be tagged correctly with characters, ships, trio names, and other relevant information.

This event is SFW. We do not accept NSFW (sexual, gore, abuse, etc.) submissions.

Ships are permitted, but we do not accept submissions involving ships that are canonically incest or pedophilia/minor x adult.

Day 4–6: Any European character(s) in any game of your choosing

Day 7–9: Your favorite Hetalia trio as another trio from a different media

Day 10–12: Any Asian character(s) in an outfit from any historical era

Day 13–15: Any character(s) wearing the same outfit as a music artist from their country

Day 16–18: Any African character(s) wearing the colors of their flag

Day 19–21: Color any character(s) with the color palette of a famous dish from their country

Day 22–24: Any N. or S. American character(s) wearing the outfit of your favorite character(s) from another media

Day 25–27: Any Oceania character(s) with any of their native animals

Day 28–30: Any character(s) as any being from their folklore

A question. Is the information on the characters' pages is more accurate on the newer wiki (fandom.com) than the old one (hitawiki.net)?

Hi anon! Thanks for the question!

In terms of accuracy and if they have false information or not, both the Fandom wiki and the Hetarchive kitawiki are probably about the same and for the most part have correct information. Neither have all known character information, but what they do have is accurate and neither is full of misinformation or falsehoods

However, I will say that the fandom wiki does tend to have much more more up to date information on character pages than the kitawiki does because we have active moderation and and editors, and their team has unfortunately not updated anything on that wiki in a long time.

Like I said though, most character pages on Hetapedia unfortunately are not fully 100% up to date with all known character information (this is currently a work in progress for us). This is because of a couple of reasons, mainly that the Fandom wiki was mostly unedited and unmoderated from 2015 until 2023 when our team decided to take over and start improving it (more on the wiki's history can be found here), and also because our editing team is very small (less than 5 people) and it takes a lot of time and effort to write full character biographies and such

But that being said, we do appreciate any and all contributions from anyone, so if you or anyone else who sees this wants to get involved and help us out, please let us know and join our Discord server (the link is located in our pinned post) for easy communication! 😁😁

Hello I haven't seen or read Hetalia in years, it was light for me in a dark time in my life. I was surprised to see it on my feed... I'm so confused, why they gangster? Are they no longer countries? Can you please explain to me sorry...thank you so much!!

Hi anon, thanks for the question!

World Stars Gangsta is an alternate universe that Himaruya started in February 2024, and in this universe the world is grungier/punker and is divided into districts with each Hetalia character being the leader of a gang organization that runs their district. And the characters do seem to be human in this AU. The main plot centers around a card battle game (similar to Yu-Gi-Oh) between all the main Hetalia characters, with Italy, Germany, and Japan wanting to join the Big 5 (America, England, France, China, Russia), the governing authority that holds supreme power over all of the districts.

We have a page on the wiki for Gangsta here, which has some more information about the AU and the depictions of the characters in it, though the page is currently a work in progress so it doesn't have ALL the information yet, but it has a decent amount that will help you understand more about the AU!

Also, so far there have only been 45 chapters of Gangsta released (starting with World Stars Chapter 511), because Himaruya ended up taking several short breaks and also having a bunch of production delays during the last 2 years. We don't currently know when it will end, but I figure Himaruya will probably go back to regular nationverse Hetalia whenever it's over. And my sincerest apologies for the late response, I wasn't checking this account during the holidays and then I was sick with the flu for a couple weeks 😭😭

We gladly welcome any contributions, even if it isn't necessarily editing on the wiki. Sharing/finding sources, translation help, providing corrections, giving cultural or historical context to things, coding help, etc are all just as valuable contributions as editing! So many of the wiki's pages still need revamping and updating due to the wiki not really being moderated or updated for several years prior to our takeover in 2023, and because there is an extremely small number of active editors at the moment.

Even if you don't want to edit on the wiki, you can still join the server if you want a fun and positive Hetalia community to talk with!

do you think it would be ethical to transfer whatever info the kitawiki has that's more factual to the FANDOM wiki? permission would be really preferable, but kitawiki owner won't respond to anyone's inquiries about the wiki and has deliberately ghosted people who've asked to help (and one source says he has a baaad temper and accused one of the people he ghosted of ghosting HIM). it's a shame the FANDOM wiki has bad rep but good you're fixing it.

"Transferring" in the sense of directly copying and pasting everything from the Kitawiki to the Fandom wiki is not really what we want to do. Instead, we want to rewrite, improve, and expand on what's on the Fandom wiki. We have taken some inspiration from some of the ways they have formatted certain things on the Kitawiki, and have been utilizing their pages as a resource for finding citations and simple things like that.

So basically, NO to direct copy and paste, but it's typically alright in general to use other wikis for inspiration for things like formatting, style, etc.

Also, I can't make any comment about the Kitawiki owner (or any of the Hetalia Archives team for that matter), as I do not know them. The only things I'm aware of is a post from 2024 about how the wiki software they use needs to be updated but it has to be done manually so it hasn't been done yet. I'm sure everyone involved has been busy lately.

Anyways! Thanks again for the question anon 😁 And yeah, the Fandom wiki unfortunately got it's bad reputation from there being a lack of moderation there for a long while. But I've been trying to redeem and improve it slowly but surely since 2023!

What happened to the old wikia such as kitawiki?

Kitawiki has not gone anywhere, don't worry, but we are not affiliated with it. Hetalia Archives is who is associated with the Kitawiki.

We are the wiki at Fandom.com (which used to be called wikia)! We've been the admin team there since 2023 and have been working to moderate and update since then. Though just more recently finally had the opportunity (and the free time) to make a tumblr and discord server and start actively promoting the wiki and trying to rebuild the community there.
