Point taken, Nero was the start of the saberface plague indeed, but tbh the fact that she looks like that just because leaves a better taste (in my opinion). The pseudo servants that are made with the sole purpose of fanservice usually come with quite some flimsy explanations like "same wavelengths" and such things. And the fact that most servants that have the face of one of the FSN cast are gods kinda bothers me, the whole vessel thing is nonsense to me, they just slap whatever to the character and it works because they share what is a basic personality trait that many have.

Then again I can't ask much from Nasu and Takeuchi.

My only fear for the English version is having to start from version 1.0.0 all over again, because Taiwan/HK and China severs both had to start from 1.0.0 and if the horror stories are to be believed it will be hell.

I watch the MCU movie but I do it when they’re extremely shitty camrips with moderately decent audio that way the constant bonbardment of ads allow to ground me on the precent and focus completely on how absolutely dogshit the plot of these movies are, I watched Quantumania and I was baffled and wowed at what a trainwreck the plot was.

THIS IS THE ONLY WAY TO WATCH THE NEW MCU MOVIES YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEM FOR FREE FROM PEOPLE WHO WERE WILLING TO SUFFER

The thing about Quantumania is that the whole film, with how bad the CGI looks, how awful the writing and dialogues is, how awkward the actors act in a way that makes me think that NO ONE interacted with each other in this film and they just filmed each actor in their own green screen room and then put them together in post prod, and how nonsensical the whole thing is, feels like it was made by AI.

This is for that person that asked for Hulk moments, go read Immortal Hulk, as someone that’s been a huge Hulk fan for like 15 years that is one of my favorite comic book runs ever, it’s 50 issues of sweet delicious character exploration and mythos expansion that aren’t muddled by crossovers or events, it had me for 5 years and I don’t think anything will have me the same way. Genuinely thrilling fun [disclaimer: it contains a truckload of body horror]

I completely agree with your feelings that a manga doesn’t really need an adaptation in order to be fully validated, like I understand the excitement of it, and potentially even if it’s an amazing adaptation, I feel like it should be an afterthought of writing an amazing manga/comic rather than a goal for both the reader and the author.

Literally what you said!! And i think the worst part is that to me it's all vapid "hype" (especially when you give a big name studio like MAPPA (lol) and Trigger (LOL)). The concept of "hype" is what i hate the MOST in literally anything. It poisons discussion about expectations and thoughts about final products. I do not like it I will slay it with my greatsword with "I HATE HYPE" engraved on the blade.

ALSO because i forgot to add it in the previous poast, i want to add something a friend brought up when we were discussing it: dungeon meshi's aesthetic is all about looking at the little details in the still images. The pacing is pretty good to me if you choose to read and not dwell of them; BUT TO ME the goal of the thing is that you can just take it slow and appreciate the little details in the worldbuilding of the dungeon's monsters, the dungeon lore, or even the actual gimmick of the manga: the cooking + final dish. All of it would be completely lost in an anime due to screentime + pacing issues (and honestly i do NAUGHT trust Trigger with both on Dunmesh LMFAO). If there is something the director, writers and storyboard artists can do to mitigate the issue and work it in the anime's advantage, that would be a great thing, BUT AGAIN i'm skeptical.
