Raphael Yedidyah - APH Israel, The Only Israel For Me.

Probably the only Israel I will ever fully accept as ‘canon’. Not even in a bias or ‘omfg yeees PersRael. I ship it’ kind of way.

Even before Raphael’s creator and I got together, it was obvious how much actual work he put into his character, design, and head canons. Even with having Israel as his character, Ask-Israel’s mun consistently stays unbiased as possible in his own personal views which I know is a huge problem that happens to a lot of OC creators. You know, the obvious “OMFG THIS COUNTRY IS AWESOME. BLESS. NOTHING BAD HAPPENS OMFG.”

The amount of ranting I have heard from Nathan Now staying with ask-israel ‘s mun for… two months (I think), I’ve seen first hand how much effort he puts into his character. His book collection on Israel rivals my own on Iran. Not only that, I have to give Nathan the advantage when it comes to having/in the process of getting books from all view points of Israel - including the ‘negative’ ones. I have yet (personally) to see a Hetalia original character with such work put into it. I have to say not even my own Iran has had this much delicate work and time put into it - even having the OC / OC concept for awhile now and being a buff with Middle East history.

what's your opinion on how Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates developed? they were part of the Sassanid empire, after all (: are you proud of them?

I’m actually quite proud of both of them to be honest with you, Anon. Bahrain has always had a great importance to me, so much so Arabia and I fought over him multiple times. Even though there are some that would deny it, I also know how important I am to him. Over the years, I noticed quite a number of things from my own culture appearing in Bahrain’s - if not just by coincidence as well there are some departments where we are very similar. When it comes to U.A.E, I must say that I am highly impressed for the modern ‘empire’ he’s created within his borders. With his childish attitude (at times), I wasn’t sure if it was possible. Now a days, he and I are still quite close when it comes to economic ties and what not. Granted, he does challenge me to some islands within the Gulf but I’m sure we’ll settle those eventually. Of course I criticize him at times, but… He’s still relatively young, so he has a lot of learning left to do. [ Bahrain and UAE’s designs are hashualomanoot ‘s ]
