#Repost @touchdesigner ・・・ #Repost @lumusinstruments ・・・ Preparations have come to an end. EINDER opens its doors to the public. Today you can visit @hethemnl to see the installation as a audiovisual work resembling 'synthetic nature'. In the evening, @eliasmazian takes the stage and performs his album 'Vrij van Dromen' with the installation. Tomorrow, we will present an extended version of the audiovisual spatial composition we made together with Boris Acket in concert form. EINDER was conceptualized by Boris last year as a method for creating a dreamy and freely moving backdrop for Elias' Vrij van Dromen tour. With support of @stimuleringsfonds, we took the concept of a kinetic cloth and refined it to an installation that expresses the notion of organic movement in light and material. We are especially gratefull to be able to do projects like Einder during these hard times. Many, many thanks to everyone involved. BIANCA BONDI @binnekant Exhibition: Chapter 3HREE Curated by Maarten Spruyt @hethemnl So COVID 19... hmm basically had half of my shows pushed to 2021 and the other half all open in September, back to back. It's stressful but at the same time I'm feeling grateful that they are still going to take place. A show that was sadly cut short due the pandemic was my recent group show in Zaandam, the Netherlands at an amazing new institution called Het HEM. The exhibition was entitled Chapter 3HREE and curated by Maarten Spruyt. Het HEM is an old amunitions factory, the majority of the exhibition took place in the ballistics tunnel and visitors were only aloud in one by one after reception in a waiting room. There were strict rules that they could not walk back only continue forward, no photos, the exhibition focuses on art as experience and the blurred lines between nature and culture. You can read a bit more about it here: https://hethem.nl/en/Chapter-Three/About The piece I showed here, "The private lives of non-human entities" 2020, is a site specific table setting for two. It was installed in a side room off the main firing tunnel. The installation and room is kept moist and cold; you arrive to it from the dimly lit main tunnel. Everything is oxidising or hardening, growing crystals or dissolving crystals, living so to speak. It is also the first time I have integrated a salt water dripping system which had the potential to form stalactites, I use the word potential as there are many variables at play and an important part of my work is that the materials are left to their own devices. Stalactites did not form, most likely as the tap had to be kept off during the exhibitions closure - but some beautiful other forms appeared as the art work was kept undisturbed during the isolation period. The curator as well as visitors who managed a private tour were all kind enough to share these images with me so that I could witness the transformation too. Went to @hethemnl today for the Chapter 3HREE expo curated by @maartenspruyt. Blown away by the work, the building and the experience as a whole.
