The whereabouts of Tess
Tess, Hex's lover, died last spring. Which explains a bit of his brooding nature, as well as this newly found sense of protectiveness. Her spirit remains, however, and he finds himself speaking with her often. To anyone else, it looks like he's talking to himself. But he still sees his dearest standing there. He swore he'd remain faithful even beyond death.
Hex is 7.5 feet tall. He can shift as need be in order to appear less conspicuous, but prefers to be at his full height.
