Headcanon that Gretchen, despite being taught close quarters combat by Michael and fist fighting by Cervantes, is a very dirty close range fighter.

She'll kick, use her magic to heat up her augments to the point that even barely touching them will burn you severely.

She hates being in close range in a fight.

She was so tired. Walther had wanted to show her something really fun. 

He had lead her to the nearby mining camp where many of the townsfolk and her father worked. Leading her into the mine a bit, Walther pointed out a straw-laden box of what looked like red candles. 

Her query into what they were was returned with a grin and a resounding yes. They were candles he said. 

Many moments later the forest was ablaze and much of the mining camp burned or destroyed. 

Her parents had found her laughing and dancing in the light of the flames. 

They spirited her away back to their home under the cover of night, the forest fire burning bright. There they harshly scolded her, ingraining in her the severity of her actions. That she was not leave the home without either her mother or father with her. 

Nowadays Gretchen only remembered her parents yelling and the bright light of the fire. She knows what she did but she barely remembers why.

Cat’s Paw:  What is your muse’s reaction to gore?

It really depends on the severity of the gore. Considering she kills people by blowing them up, that doesn’t really phase her. Body horror and the like that kinda gets to her. Though she can mostly keep herself together. 

Garrote: Your muse must kill someone. How do they do it?

Either by burning them up, blowing them up, or shooting them in the head if she can’t do either of the first two.

Heretic’s Fork: Is there something your muse will never confess to?

She will never confess to what she did as a child. Burning down part of the forest, destroying the mine, accidentally killing a couple people cause of it. 

She will never tell anyone about it as that was left behind in her old country.

Confidence. A lot of the times it borders or is pretty much hubris when it comes to things she knows or thinks she knows/is good at.

Her distrust of cups. It’s kind of embarrassing at times. Hence why if you don’t bring it up and humor her you instantly get a few brownie points.

Empathy. Due to Gretchen’s madnesses she has a very difficult time in expressing empathy.

Gretchen's emotions make her magic flare up in visible ways. For example, the ends of her hair start smoking and burning. And her eyes glow yellow-orange.
