In Deadlands there are creatures called Hangin' Judges, they hang people for 'crimes' which can pretty much be anything from cheating at cards to being a Texan. They always write the crime of the person on their forehead in blood as they hang the person with a noose made of human hair.

Gretchen tilted her head backwards towards the sounds of the other woman’s voice and raised an eyebrow. She straightened and there was an audible click as the blonde reattached one of her many augmented limbs.  “I know zhat. I needed to readjust mein augments. Quite sore zhey are today.” She curled her left hand into a fist over and over to make sure it was working properly.  Gretchen was giving the other woman a curious look as slipped her arms through the sleeves and began to button up the front.

Gretchen stopped. Now this was odd. She usually wasn’t stopped during her trips to Zaun. She’d gotten wiser about her visits to the toxic city since her ‘incident’ during the Harrowing. 

The blonde raised her eyebrows in mild surprise before her expression turned to one of suspicion and paranoia. 

“Vhat the hell do you vant?” she snapped, grabbing a match from a pocket to but in her mouth. Gretchen narrowed her eyes behind her goggles.
