the warmth of her aura encompassed the rugged warrior, lips pulling into a soft smile as her plush lips pressed to the apple of his cheek. it lingered and all odin desired was for her to keep it there for the entirety of his life - to have this feeling until the hollow or the flame took him. with his eyes closed, he leaned into her touch, exhaustion having seeped into every muscle in his body and only finding reprieve for the first time in what seemed like weeks. as much as he wanted it to continue, he knew she would need to pull away eventually, and when she did, he felt that cold once again. even when her nose brushed the toughness of his skin, he knew he wouldn’t be able to go without that feeling for much longer. turning his head, he brushed his nose against her own before leaning forward and capturing her lips in a slow, tender kiss. and there they stayed, seated beside one another with her arms wrapped around his bicep and leaning against his shoulder. the fire was slowly fading and they knew it wouldn’t be long until the cycle would start again.
