I found your tumblr via the recent discussion on askablindperson’s blog about harmful writing tropes. In my own (loooong) story there are some side characters with various disabilities, some temporary, some permanent.
Would you be willing to read a synopsis (3–4 paragraphs) of these characters and their role in the story, and comment on what parts may feel insensitive to you? (I don’t think a full reading for this is feasible or sensible for anyone, we’re looking at about 150k words and these are all side characters whose disabilities are not the focus of the story.) One of these characters is unable to use her eyes for a few months in total, one has a facial difference, and one has a made up psychological condition (there’s magic in this world).
I have given my story a lot of thought on many levels and am fairly confident in my framing, but the fact remains that I am able bodied and thus I would love your opinion!

It seems to me the easiest way to make a post with the synopsis and a spoiler warning, and then everyone can comment? I am open to other suggestions of course.
