Hey everybody. I want to start taking a second every week to talk about other artists I'm listening to lately...especially indies. This band from New York called hex.system is really incredible. I'm a big fan of emotive music and anything that sounds like a pretty 'dark meditation'. It's something I can just zone out on and breathe deep for a moment. Overall I'd call it dark avant-garde music- they blend some shoegaze, dark ambient, goth rock, grunge, noise and doom metal into something very uplifting if you like angsty, sad, unique high-integrity art. Check out hex.sys on Youtube and buy an album from Bandcamp. (Which you should definitely sign up for if you're not using. There's always awesome music popping up on it and they are very fair to artists that work with them.) They've got a mini-album and a single out and I'd love to see more from them.
