Probably a dumb question but why is Shadow most often headcanoned to be Silvers dad? Do they have similar powers or something or is it just vibes?

another "dadow" scenario:

Eclipse finds an injured Silver bleeding green and wonders if Gerald made another or if Shadow had a son

he's confused that Silver is white rather than black but then he remembers Rouge is white and is like ??? then "ew..."

he takes the unconscious Silver and confronts Shadow and Rouge about it, which they deny and point out that Silver is from 200 years in the future

while Shadow would still be alive by then, Rouge wouldn't be

now curious (and Silver now conscious), they find a lab to run a DNA test, which confirms Shadow as Silver's

uncle

dial up noises go off in Eclipse's head, then he finally realizes what that means; they test his DNA just to be sure

Eclipse is Silver's father

queue an existential crisis from Silver and Eclipse loosing his mind

then Eclipse is brought down with the reality of "wait, why doesn't he remember me"

Shadow may have left White Space behind, but his past isn't done with him yet. His genes have been irreversibly altered by his now-dormant Doom Powers, and when Black Doom appears before him in a vivid nightmare, a biological clock begins counting down to the rebirth of the Black Arms' leader. they could get separated while Silver is still young so he doesn't remember Shadow clear enough

Do you think that, after scaring baby silver with the nighttime grin, Shadow would start trying to learn how to appear less intimidating.

its ok Silver will figure it out eventually that dad is not scary
