“Any theatre spot that pays. Not a lot in Modos, but I was planning to move before… events. But I’d be willing to do lights or sound at any theater. Used to do community theater till college. I miss those days… to uh, some degree.”

“The funniest thing that’s happened to me? Hm, well, I have one memory, so, I had just started working for Bet and Forgive, it was mid-season, I was getting the tour, and this one contestant mistook me for another, back then I had light brown hair, not the red hair I have now, hair was also a little longer, so from the back, I looked exactly like this contestant from behind. Occasionally also looked similar from the front without my mask, like this.”

“Funny nowadays that that’s over, but occasionally backstage, people would freak out, and that would startle me. Funny to look back on though.”

“Much as I’d like to meet them, they seem like good folks, I’m…” Their voice trailed off.

“Ah, the crews? Well- depends on the group. Sound crew is just a horrid bunch, not the people, but all they do all show is spam that horrid laugh and gasp track. We really need something new over there. My team, the Light crew is… alright. Often stressed, lights don’t work as they used to, giving all of us more work. Backstage? Well, there aren’t many of them anymore. I don’t talk to them much, not after… Never-mind. Cupid? He’s alright. Got his demons like the rest of us. Nice guy when you give him a shot.”

“Still probably could’ve hired someone with more looks for the host position- ah- fuck am I still on?”

“Well, can’t say it’s worse than being on the stage. But it’s its own horror show. Nothing works straight anymore, everything’s breaking down, and we “don’t have the funds” to fix it. I feel bad for the criminals, the lights are always too damn bright because of it…” They scoffed

Marla didn't want to live here. She didn't want to move into this old house, this country (she couldn't see what people thought was so great about America it was dirty)... she wanted to be home.

Angrily the blonde slams her door, abnormally colored eyes scanning over the piles of boxes. Her things weren't going to fit and she knew it.

"I want to go home!!!" She calls but but she knew no one heard. Her father had already left for his first day at work and her mother was out job hunting. She drags her feet over to her bed, flopping onto the mattress to relax until she noticed something move in the corner. As her eyes meet a boy's they widen and she hops clear to the other side of the room as boxes suddenly fly at him as if being thrown by invisible hands, "how did you get in here?! I'm going to call the police!!!"
