Who said “I love you” first
Gwen which kind of catches MJ off guard. It’s not so much of a surprise ( knowing where Gwen’s affections lie has always been obvious ) as it is overwhelming. There’s always a transition for MJ in letting herself be loved, but she makes up for it in the back end.
Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background
They would have equally cute pictures of them together.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
Gwen. MJ will breathe on it later just to remind herself.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
Gwen is better at punny / nerdy gifts ( a mug with ‘you mocha me so happy’ and her perfect coco recipe, etc ), MJ is the queen of love coupons because that’s so much better than having actual currency.
Who initiated the first kiss
Mary Jane. Both the first where Gwen thinks she might be halfway joking and the second where MJ leaves no room for interpretation.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
It’s pretty well established that MJ shouldn’t be woken up when she’s sleeping, which is a total double standard because on the rare occasion she wakes up earlier than Gwen she’s all about that life. ( Why be bored when she’s right there? )
Gwen tickles, MJ playfully slaps Gwen’s ass no matter where they are. It’s a Thing.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
MJ doesn’t ask so much as she just hops right in.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Probably MJ if only because her job is usually more flexible and she thinks Gwen looks cute in a lab coat.
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
TBH probably neither but they do need to have a good laugh because everything is so easy and fun and they are really giddy.
Who kills/takes out the spiders
MJ kills but she can only hear so much about the eco-system before she designates a cup as their spider-bus.
Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk
MJ gets drunk more and probably tries to also serenade but when they are drinking together there is a lot of face holding and little arguments of who loves who more.
