elijah  like  to  know  who  he  was  dealing  with.  while  he  liked  to  not  discriminate  &  judge  people  by  what  they  did  before  the  outbreak  -  he  didn't  think  they  really  could  be  choosers  in  this  at  all,  he  still  knew  he  was  responsible  for  the  group  &  for  its  success.  admittedly,  he  didn't  have  influence  on  everything,  but  what  he  did  ...had  to  go  well.  that  included  letting  new  people  in,  especially  some  that  looked  way  too  comfy  with  guns  &  weren't  former  military  or  cops.

but...  second  chances  &  all,  right?  that  didn't  mean  he  wasn't  going  to  personally  oversee  some  of  them,  make  sure  they  felt  at  home  &  comfy  within  the  group  to  avoid  issues.  last  thing  they  needed  was  a  rogue  going  against  the  group,  because  they  didn't  feel  liked.  so,  despite  his  nature,  he  ...  went  out  to  find  people.  sometimes. though  this  time  he  came  for  a  good  cause;  they  had  a  run  coming  up  &  elijah  was  gauging  who  to  take.  finding  him  sat  by  the  fireplace,  elijah  crouched  down  by  him.   "hey,  you  got  a  sec  ...or  two?"

" Have I introduced you to Harold yet?" Noelle asks the other, they often liked to feed the birds in the park and so had grown the habit of naming them." It's that one over there, usually the first to say hello right after Mary who is still not here." The vampire looks around the birds, humming." She is almost never late, I hope she is well."

Glancing up at Henry the vampire shrugs." There I go again. I'm sorry I have the tendency of getting carried away."

Location: The Range

Eris inhaled his cigarette as he walked to the shooting range to meet Henry. The man was going to teach him how to shoot a gun, which Eris was grateful for. He'd spent so long running at the slightest sign of danger that he'd forgotten how to fight back. But running wasn't an option anymore. He was making his stand here. And it was no good to rely on luck, or the maddening quality of his eyes. He needed to be able to fight. And firing guns was easy. Or, it looked easy. More efficient than crushing his enemies, anyways. There was never a guarantee that a gun would work against spells, but it made him feel better to have that extra precaution.

He didn't particularly know why he'd said yes when Henry asked him if he wanted to do this today. But with Guin's arrival back in town, he was going to be getting a lot more up close and personal with witches. He knew he wasn't expected to make nice with her, but if she meant something to Roman, he guessed he'd have to eventually. If she was who she claimed to be at all. But her arrival made him think that his time was growing short.

Henry was Roman's friend who made sure to be friendly to Eris. If Eris had been less scared of everyone, he would've been closer to the man by now. He might've talked to him a bit more. He slightly regretted now that he wasn't closer to the man. He hoped that learning to shoot from him might alleviate that.

"Henry? You here?" He called.
