Yeah, I know what you mean. When I started there he wasn't the boss, and actually he sort of intimidated me? But then he became the boss and I talked with him more and now he's one of the few things I still enjoy about the job.

Ugh

I just keep telling myself I only have another month or so there before I can finally leave, hopefully for good. There are a lot of great things there, but I'm just. Pretty over it right now. And Joe leaving is taking a big part of what I enjoy there out. :\

I actually figured it would happen within the next six months (he's been trying to train a replacement for himself since he hired Patrick, but as we both know, none of the secondary chefs have worked out very well/been capable of that sort of position, PLUS he obviously enjoys catering/his teaching thing he does on the side more) but I hoped and prayed he'd wait until a time after I quit

Especially since Marlon just isn't cutting it

But Joe is putting in his official notice today sooooo. SIGH.

I fear that with Joe leaving, and then me leaving in september, the place is going to go up in flames

Eh, it happens. Joe was super sick but the other cook couldn't come in, and I am stuck closing with one of the newer ladies who seriously needs to be let go because she's a nice lady but shit at the job, and then there's dahn so. Some days are a shitfest and yesterday was one of them

Hopefully today is better.
