“… leave your message after the beep!” jaebum hears that message for the fifth day in a roll and shakes his head, already knowing where this would go. subin was too much like him, and that was both a blessing and a curse—clearly because he liked to annoy her sometimes and she would simply ignore his calls. not to say she drank a way more coffee than he did, which (rarely) made him a bit worried. but well, he knows her too well—enough to know she is not dead yet and has only seeing his name on her phone and ignoring instead of answering.
with that in mind, he decides to go at her place just to check up on her. and also because he needs a time out—he had spent too many days into his studio, studying or working on his classes, and he could use some fresh air and good company. not that he considered her that great, but at least they shared some traces of their personalities and their friendship never got old because of that—in fact, she was probably more like him than his own twin sister.
jaebum keeps his earbuds on while walking around hongdae and towards subin’s place. he decided not to use his skateboard this time, basically because he could use some walking for a change. and also because he’s sure they won’t stay much longer there, once his place is to take her out of her room as well.
knocking on marigold’s door once he arrives, he takes a look around the street and put his phone and earbuds into his pocket, hearing steps on the other side. jaebum thinks of yelling at his friend, but then again, it was a shared house and that sound could be from one of her housemates.
