In a mad rush to make it to work on time (because lately, oversleeping has become a bad, bad habit of hers), Stephanie had to settle for leaving her apartment on an empty stomach. But once she’d made it to the cafe, she was quick to grab one of the last few bagels left and find some juice in the staff room refrigerator.
Stephanie’s pretty sure she saw one of the customers frown at the bagel thing though.

7. what my muse’s room currently looks like
Less of a disaster zone than it had been until recently, now that Stephanie’s done a bit of cleaning up. Her next batch of laundry is still in a messy pile somewhere near the door, but aside from that, and the dishes that need washing, everything looks decent enough. Probably not for long though...

Stephanie sneakily grabbed the last slice of strawberry shortcake during her break at work (don’t tell the manager!).
“This is all your fault!”
“I just… um…” Stephanie knew she was having a bad day, but she didn’t think it’d affect her work as much as it did. “I’m so sorry!” she said, continuously apologising profusely as she pulled a handful of napkins from her apron pocket, wiping all the spilled coffee off the table. She heaved a sigh quietly, berating herself for having let her bad mood distract her from doing her job right, and now, Stephanie only hoped that she hadn’t spilled anything on Sujeong. “Let me make you another one, okay?”
“Don’t ask me that…”
Stephanie paused, eyes widening a little at Kyungsoo’s response. To her, it had seemed like a perfectly normal question to ask; she had asked it a million and one times before, after all.
Until it occurred to her that she was no longer in New York anymore. There are some questions that just can’t be asked, and when they are, they run the risk of offending the other party, or at least leaving them uncomfortable. And it seems Stephanie’s done just that to Kyungsoo. “Oh,” she said, biting on her bottom lip, eyes apologetic. “I’m sorry. I... I wasn’t thinking.”
