Ronnie was in the gift shop on the Queen Mary, looking at all the odds and ends that could make a good addition to her weird collection of trinkets at home. She was lost in the shopping when she heard panic rising from outside the ship, turning to see a fog rolling low through the shop. She watched as one by one the people around her began to lose their minds. "... the fuck?!" She started to step away from the fog as it began to rise toward her like it had a mind of its own.
She turned to run, only to be faced by a wall of fog on the other side. "Shit," she breathed as it came over her completely. She couldn't see through it at first, backing away from the screams and shouts, until she felt her back connect with the wall. Reaching behind her she moved along the wall until she felt a handle, thanking God that it was unlocked as she slipped through the door and into the darkness.
She felt for a light and when she turned it on she gasped. Ronnie was no longer on the ship, instead she was in the back of a large auditorium, full of people yelling and shouting angry toward the stage. She stepped forward, mouth dropping open as she saw her parents tied to large posts on the stage.
"Darren Greer, exposed as a werewolf!" The man next to them was shouting as hatred dripped from eat word. "And his wife, who laid with this beast and bore a child." The crowd screamed at her and spat. Both Darren and Danika looked like they'd been tortured and bruised beyond what most could stand.
"Tell us where the daughter who exposed you is and we'll end your suffering quickly." Darren glared at the man and Danika shook her head trying to be strong as tears rolled freely down her cheeks.
"Mom... Dad..." her voice was barely above a whisper as she stepped closer. They noticed her at the same time, fear rising in their expressions. "Run," Darren growled at her and she turned to do so, only falling into the strong grip of two hooded figures.
They pulled her onto the stage as she screamed and kicked against them trying to break free. She should have been able to, with her wolf strength but they still overpowered her, tying her to another post. She struggled against the restraints but it was no use.
"The daughter who first brought the Greers to our attention!" The man shouted, as a cheer rose from the crowd. People she'd known her whole life. People she'd gone to school with and worked with, all standing around sneering at her as her family was trapped. "I feel it's only fitting that you watch your parents die before you go, beast!"
"No!" she screamed out struggling against the rope. "Let them go! They didn't do anything wrong! Please!" She looked at her parents who were struggling as well. "I'm so sorry..." she said through tears to them.
The crowd parted as two torches came forward, held by the two men who had tied her up. "No, no no no! PLEASE!" She screamed through the tears as they got closer. The men ignored her as the first torch was placed under her mother. The flames licked up instantly. "Mommy!" she cried, her voice being drowned out by the screams of her mother. The second torch touched down and her father began to scream as the flames overtook him. "Daddy," she sobbed as her head fell forward. When she lifted her head back up she let out the most anguished scream that mixed with a howl of despair from her wolf. She'd finally killed her parents just as she feared she would.
