The celebrations went on late into the evening, and everyone enjoyed Dillord's grilled sea bass with chestnut sauce. Gormac stayed the longest, eating and chatting and chatting and eating. The party was so fun, that Geesha decided to do more parties at their place. It was a great excuse to get all of the family together, after all.
And by the end of the evening even Toadstool arrived with a gift for the girls. (Where he got it from, no one knew. And, to be fair, no one asked.)
End of round 4 with the Copperpinches.
Dillord maxed his comedy skill, and I think I'll put him in the comedy career next round. He also only has one thing left of his ambition (catch 20 different type of fish), but I think there's only 10 around the island, so that'll have to wait a bit.
Breegee and Geesha became teenagers. Breegee gained the snob trait and the Super Parent aspiration, which fits her very well.
Geesha gained the neat trait, and initially the Spellcraft & Sorcery, but I switched it to Painter Extraordinaire, because if she finishes that one I can unlock spellcasters+Glimmerbrook. With that she can then switch back to and become a spellcaster (and I can't freaking wait!)
Nuxra aaaalmost maxed her video-gaming skill, and are moving up within her job. Also - adult birthday and makeover!
Toadstool ran away for a while, but came back, and seemed to be cured of his illness?!
The two twins grew up into beautiful teenagers.
Geesha's childhood passion of drawing seemed to linger, and she quite quickly decided that that's what she wanted to do in life. (There was a small lingering of wanting to learn about all the magic she had read in her books, but she felt that she could focus on it later if needed).
Breegee on the other hand seemed to have loved taking care of Toadstool so much that she now wanted to become the best parent she could. No, she did not have a man in mind, and yes, it was still some time away, but it's what she wanted. And seeing how happy her aunt Frin was as a mum, made her want it even more.
The days went by, and the week was nearly over. Forgotten by almost all of the family was Nuxra's birthday, and it arrived in such a way that Dillord didn't have time to organize the big party he had planned. Instead, he baked his beloved a cake, and they had a quiet celebration at home.
They had already had the twins Horn Day party not too long ago, and Nuxra assured him that she didn't need one. After all, who wanted to admit that they were getting old?
The winter was cold, and the snow was heavy, and the goblins of Isle of Spright were quite happy they were living underground. During the days Dillord and Breegee spent a lot of time outdoors; having snowball fights; building snow goblins; and making snow angels. Unfortunately the Serene Sea had almost frozen over, and Dillord had to stop his daily fishing routine. This meant the dinners nowadays was mostly made out of canned fruits, nuts, and dried fish.
But they didn’t mind. After all, Dillord was becoming more adventurous in the kitchen. And spices can take you a long way!
Crouching down to see what was there, she found a pair of yellow eyes staring back at her. A raccoon, shivering and with matted fur, was sitting there, unsure if Breegee was someone it could trust. Breegee, on the other hand, felt her heart melt. She had never met a raccoon before, and even though she had seen pictures of it in her toddler books, what was sitting in front of her was the most beautiful creature she had ever seen.
Nuxra, who had managed to make the telecomputron work so well that she now had contact with the outside world, was now making money for programming and hacking. She had even turned playing games into lucrative business. Unfortunately, the twins took after her, and often spent their evenings playing against each other instead of doing their homework.
And before the goblins knew it, Horn Day came around. It is an exciting day in goblin society, a day full of celebrations and well wishing. Getting your horns has always been a benchmark of a goblins life, and it's at that moment that they are meant to figure out what to focus on in life.
So for this special day, the cousins were invited, and a party tent was set up outside.
