Then one night the Graves' were woken up by a scream. The scream turned out to be coming from Olivia, and for a confused couple of minutes the two of them were unsure what was happening. It wasn't until Olivia could feel a kick that they realised that the baby was coming. 

(To be fair, one of them was dead, and the other was studying dead things, so labour was probably the last conclusion they got to.)

There was a place on the Isle of Spright that the greenskins had avoided like the plague. In the middle, nestled between the trees, lay an old ruin, overgrown and derelict. A broken sign outside read 'Church of Shedim', and there was an air of unease surrounding the broken down bricks. No-one knew just how long the old church had stood empty. And if the greenskins had had their way, it would’ve stood empty for the rest of time.

But one day, there was rustling and voices echoing out from inside it’s walls.

The winter was cold, and the snow was heavy, and the goblins of Isle of Spright were quite happy they were living underground. During the days Dillord and Breegee spent a lot of time outdoors; having snowball fights; building snow goblins; and making snow angels. Unfortunately the Serene Sea had almost frozen over, and Dillord had to stop his daily fishing routine. This meant the dinners nowadays was mostly made out of canned fruits, nuts, and dried fish. 

But they didn’t mind. After all, Dillord was becoming more adventurous in the kitchen. And spices can take you a long way!

Crouching down to see what was there, she found a pair of yellow eyes staring back at her. A raccoon, shivering and with matted fur, was sitting there, unsure if Breegee was someone it could trust. Breegee, on the other hand, felt her heart melt. She had never met a raccoon before, and even though she had seen pictures of it in her toddler books, what was sitting in front of her was the most beautiful creature she had ever seen.

Luckily for Imbertus, the spell worked, and Olivia came back to life. When he explained what he had done for her, Olivia felt her non-pumping-heart fill with love, and proclaimed her love back. 

It would’ve been all a lovely end to a fairy tale, if it wasn’t for the University Professors. Imbertus was kicked out of school, and ostracised by his peers. The professors’ explanation was simple - “Necromancy was never to be used for the purpose of love. It was only a tool, only a way to get things done!”

But how did Olivia get back to the living, you might ask. Well, the answer is this man.

Imbertus Graves was an aspiring necromancer, and full-blown lich. A student at the University of Acheron, he had often seen Olivia working on her parents farm close by, and had quickly fallen in love with her. Just as he was about to muster up the courage to walk over, tragedy struck, and Olivia was kicked by a horse. Unfortunately, the accident was fatal.

Imbertus quickly went to work. Even though he had only been at the University for two years, he was sure he could do it, and bring Olivia back to life. Weeks he spent cooped up in his room, brewing potions, crafting voodoo dolls, and practising hexes, slowly getting closer to a solution. One day he had it, and he rushed down to the graveyard, dug up Olivia’s corpse, and got to work.

*** Geesha worked hard on her aspiration, and managed to finish and become an Artistic Prodigy. With it she gained the Creatively Gifted trait, and rolled for a new aspiration. (But since she doesn’t have long left as a child, I won’t be taking the second one seriously, and instead work on her charisma) ***
