Holy cow, it’s been a year.
If you asked me this time last year how I was doing, the answer would have been miserable. This time last year was spent with an unscheduled week off work while my Grandfather was in the hospital, this time last year was the start of eleven weeks of him deteriorating before my families eyes. This time last year was a lot of drinking, a little eating, and me being an emotional wreck (more so than normal).
Flash forward a year, this year has had more than it’s fair share of ups and downs. And here I am now sitting at home, our new home, curled up watching HGTV during the break that I took in my assembly of yet another piece of Target furniture. Clothes still aren’t put away - there’s still boxes that need unpacked, the floors need vacuumed and steamed clean. I need to tidy up things and take things to the outbuilding. It’s been a lot of work, but I love the house. I love the area.
I have a new car, a decent job, and a great support system. In ten days I’ll be in Disney World for New Years Eve, I’ll be there for nine days. NINE. I can’t wait, it is much needed, I’m just hoping that before I go I can get the rest of the house in order.
The new year will bring me trying to get my blog up and running, Me starting with Trim Healthy Mama and trying to (finally) get myself to the healthy weight that I need to be, and my sugar in a controlled state.
Things, I think, are starting to look up.
