queer platonic ideas for alastor!

(also semi drunk writing this so interpret this as you will)

something that is vital to me atleast is touch. not necessarily in a romantic sense, but rather in the appreaciation of knowing that their is someone who is alive with a beating heart is endearing. especially to feel the warmth of their skin. of course, this should be consensual on both parts. However, i feel like it would be calming to alastor to feel the warmth of another person, but not having to worry about wether that person interprets thats in a sexual manner. human stim toy- if you will.

cooking has always been a way once can reflect their appreciation. inherantly, it reflect the idea that one wants you fed and healthy so that you may continue your life. As such, it mirrors the idea that you life means something. As someone from a culture that highly values food, and the spread of recipes, I think alastor showing his love through sharing his mother’s recipies is something regarded only for the most esteemed and trusted.

dress up! the perception of others is an important part of relationships, especially if those views are important. as someone who only experiences platonic relationships, when someone pics out outfits for me i feel delighted! this is because they are not only keeping me in mind, but they are also reflecting their perception of me. its a weird thing to describe, but I feel like alastor would love to dress up those he cares about. not in a way of “oh, your fashion is hideous doll”, but in a “diamonds in the rough deserve to shine.” sort of way.

info dumping! this goes both ways! i think alastor would find it endearing to have a partner that rambles on and on- and is not afraid to show every facet and obsession of themselves. as someone who masks 80% of the time, there is a form of trust that comes with revealing the true you. on the other end, I think alastor would love to have someone who listens to him. other than the high ego boost, it’s unlikely that alastor was often listened too in the real world (outside of radio). having someone who is willing to listen to him ramble makes him feel not only accepted, but true to himself. although its probably about cannibalism, try to hold on!
