If one is having a major life event celebration to which other people are coming. And one of the guests has a lot of trauma around food such that they can basically only eat it places they've eaten before and/or only eat food they have had before, which is a very narrow and particular list,
Is it the right thing to do to let this guest pick or at least have veto power over the restaurant, even if their choice is something that one is, it best, not excited about?
Alternatively,
Is it selfish/bad access ettiquette to pick something that one *is* excited about, since it is one's life event after all, and let this person deal or not?
All allergy and ethical/religious needs are being met, this is about the... "I only feel safe eating places/things I have eaten before, and those things are a very short list that mostly includes stuff like burgers, tikka masala, and eggs with potatoes."
