can we pls talk about my beautiful boy dennis and his npd !!! id love to see you analyze charlie too cause damn boi... he got so many issues
dennis reynolds is the most cluster b boy in the world and i’m proud of him and by proud i mean sickened and by sickened i mean p-PROUD.. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
cant tell you how mad i am that dennis doesnt have a canon npd diagnosis he literally! fits! EVERY SYMPTOM ARE YOU KIDDING MEEEEEE!!!!!!! he’s SO dependant on his image and he’s so dependant on the opinions of other people! what the fuckkkkkk. i love how his mental illness manifests because sometimes he’s so aloof and other times he is just out of his MIND just distraught because he isn’t getting what he needs from other people and that is EXACTLY how it feels to either have your narcissistic supply saited or completely depleted, i just...
“THIS DOES NOT REPRESENT ME!” THAT WAS SO!!!!! he has a breakdown cuz he’s wRONG? WRONG, ON TV, WHERE EVERYONE CAN SEE HIM FAIL???? just the thought is making my soul try and evict itself from my body gjhkgsf
i wish i had more examples i still have yet to finish the whole show and my memory is soooo baaad but... but b o i.....
uisfgjkfhsfg charlie is such a mystery to me t b h because developmental disorders aren’t my strong suit but i can see that csa trauma from ten thousand miles away and i just llllaaaaAAAAATCH onto that. my sweet boy. feral characters are one of my absolute favorite types and i just love this. this dirt child. lil grubby thing. like everything he feels is so visceral but also so...????
like, it reminds me of how i process a lot of my trauma, by shrugging it off until the EXACT SECOND something (usually random) hits just a little too close to home and suddenly its like i’ve got a live wire running through me like i LOVE charlie’s tantrums and i love how he has absolutely no filter so he can just EXPRESS all these things rather than repressing them i just love him a lot i cant,,, cant express,,, nnngh i wish i could go on but im so tired but aahhh...!!! luv
maybe i need to sort my talk tags again
cryin shakin whole nine yards
breakdown of commonly-used/prevalant trans/* identity-related terms under the cut, because im not giving cis ppl an excuse to be ignorant anymore
(cisgender: identifying with the gender you were designated at birth: i.e. a woman with a vagina and a man with a penis, shortened to cis. this is not a slur. this is a descriptor)
transgender/trans* is an umbrella term for people who do not identify as the gender they were designated as at birth. the asterisk is not necessary but isnt bad either. every gender identity listed below qualifies as a trans identity
someone who is intersex is a person born with non-normative genitalia that does not conform to the typical sex binary (penis/vagina), or non-normative chromosomes, or any number of different sexual or endocrine conditions that do not easily fit into the very narrow penis=male/vagina=female sex dichotomy. the term for a person who was born with genitalia which conform to the typical sex binary is dyadic.
genderqueer is the umbrella term for those who do not choose to identify as any one gender. nonbinary/nb is the umbrella term for those whose gender identities do not conform to those of the gender binary (male/female). some believe these terms to be pretty much interchangeable as they deal with basically the same stuff. they are both also valid as gender identities
dmab: designated male at birth - preferably only to be used for queer/nb folks
dfab: designated female at birth - preferably only to be used for queer/nb folks
camab: coercively assigned male at birth - most commonly used in reference to intersex people
cafab: coercively assigned female at birth - most commonly used in reference to intersex people
agender/genderless: a person who does not have a gender
genderfluid: a person who fluctuates between two or more gender identities; their genders tend not to be as clear-cut as those of a bigender or pangender person, but this is incredibly personal and situational and shouldnt be generalized like this anyway
neutrois: a person who has a gender, and that gender is one that is neither male nor female and is a neutral gender
bigender: a person who identifies as two separate genders; can be any two gender identities (there are literally endless possibilities)
pangender: a person who identifies as many different genders
transmasculine: a queer person who presents as or identifies as more masculine but may or may not identify as male
transfemme: a queer person who presents as or identifies as more femme but may or may not identify as female
please note that these identities and the definitions for them do not apply to all trans folks and that it is extremely important to ask a trans person how they would like to be referred to individually, because its different for everybody and none of these identities or how a trans person feels about them should be assumed or taken for granted by you
im probably missing some and feel free to tell me if any of these definitions sound off to you but thats basically it so please dont complain that there are too many gender identities for you to keep track of anymore because here they are, in list form, so please dont ever say that again if youre cis ok
