"But Darling, We Don't Kill Roses" is a soulmate au that takes place after the first aos movie and during the second, where Jim refuses to believe soulmates mean anything and the people around him don't disagree, they just don't really understand why that means he's pushing them away now, after they've already known each other for three years. It was planned to have a prologue chapter for Spock, Uhura, Bones, and Jim, and a possible epilogue for lore. I do have Spocks chapter finished I should probably just post it.

He’s the only one on the bridge who still hasn’t stopped by sickbay, as though he’s treating the bruising around his neck as penance. If only they thought it necessary, perhaps it wouldn’t weigh on him so much. Spite, she knew, could justify a stone.
