how is donny ruined?

donny is ruined by loneliness. he is so lonely. he is miserable in his solitude. he hates that he cannot bring himself to reach out, to ask for help. he will be forgotten by all who never knew him. his biggest fear is that he will die alone and he knows this fear will be seen to fruition. he refuses to extend himself beyond the box that others put him in. and it is a box that no one dares come near. he is lonely because he is so afraid of himself.
