It’s fucking terrifying to wake up with someone like Kyo Sawashiro smiling over you. Tomoro had been awakened by Reina and, of course, Gekkomon, but this was a first. There was something about his eyes that really, really looked deep into your soul. “What? What is it?” Tomoro jumped out of bed, and realized that Kyo hadn’t said anything. How long had he been sitting there on that folding chair? The clock read 6:02. Cupimon was on top of Kyo’s head. “What? Did you tell him something?” He asked the digimon. “You could say that,” Kyo said. “Tomoro, you’re not in trouble,” Cupimon said.

“Are you sure we can take on a cleaner that strong?” Makoto asked. Kyo’s muscles were tensed under his jacket. He flipped a pen over and over in his fingers and stared past Makoto at the space of the dark bar, “We’re doing this.” Cougarmon brushed past his leg and padded over to the stool where the young boy was sitting. The Glowing Dawn were at Garando, the bar owned by their information broker, Maki. What information Maki had for them was thin. Honestly not surprising- the Five Stars and their movements were given the utmost secrecy.  “What he means to say is, he’s pissed,” Cougarmon explained, “so in his mind, there’s no room for failure.” In his mind? The pen snapped in half in Kyo’s hand. He wasn’t even aware he was holding it with that tight of a grip. He stared at the blue stains on his palm without seeing them, “We’re doing this,” he repeated.

Got a new Heart in and Egg scene in which Kyo turns into Feral Kyo. For like, a minute.

Changed the bit where Reina was calling out Asuka in front of Cupimon. Realized it didn't make sense bc she doesn't know she's talking to the guy.

Tomoro blinks, “You took a cooking class?” “At the high school.” “No way.” “Seriously. Remember how you hated my cooking after- after all the stuff happened?” “N-no!” He puts his hands out, “I just- it didn’t taste like mom’s food,” there’s a couple of sweatdrops on his forehead, “that’s all.” “Tomoro. It was awful.” He takes a breath. “Ok, yeah. Your cooking was hot garbage back then.”

Got a new Heart in an Egg chapter! Tomoro is more like his brother than he knows.

God I wish my writing buddy would read hiae so I can send them little out of context snippets bc i am really enjoying the characterization here

Might be a little late but I just though that Asukamon probably feels what's going on with his body in an abstract way. Like he's constantly chilly and always trying to bundle up in blankets and people's discarded hoodies and camping out in front of the heaters.

It's going to be fucking hilarious when we find out that Genjo is actually a really chill dude who's just wildly misunderstood
