at the apartment with @jaxnmartins.
You’d think after everything that’d been happening lately Alicia would’ve been exhausted beyond belief ( and truthfully she was ), but somehow sleep still managed to evade her. Maybe it was the constant stream of thoughts revolving around Wyatt that kept circling her head, or maybe it was just because of the endless noise coming from the neighboring units. After living in the exclusive community in Forest Hills, where each estate was separated by vast plots of manicured lawns, being right on top of others was an unfamiliar challenge. Half the time she felt three seconds away from going next door, or upstairs, and silencing them all herself. Leaving tenants bound and gagged was typically frowned upon, though, so somehow she managed to refrain--- even though it took every last ounce of self control. The sharp thud of something heavy falling against the shared wall was her final straw. Slipping free of the sheets on Jaxon’s bed she shoved cold feet into a pair of his socks and stomped out into the rest of the apartment. She had every intention of marching over there and pounding on the door, but the sight of Jax’s tall frame bent and curled upon a too small couch stole Ali’s focus almost immediately.
Giving his own well being a moment of thought hadn’t even crossed her mind in the beginning, but now something tugged at her heart when he shifted in his sleep and gave an uncomfortable grunt. He hadn’t even grabbed a blanket for crying out loud. Rolling green hues she tramped across the tiny floor and pulled one from the back of a chair, using it to cover his length as best she could. It wasn’t until that moment, the one in which a pair of bleary deep brown eyes peered up at her, that she realized he hadn’t been sleeping at all. Looks like she was caught red handed. Swallowing down her immediate urge to just walk away Ali blinked back, the challenge for him to say something about it clear in her gaze. Their stare off lasted at least a good thirty seconds before she finally let go of a sighing breath and nudged at him with her knee. “Move over.” The blonde was just as demanding as usual, but there was something nervous in her eyes as she silently dropped down to fit herself around the curve of his body. “I couldn’t sleep...” Finally admitting what he’d probably already guessed she slanted her cheek across the pillow and focused on the scruffy point of his chin. “Your neighbors are too loud and belong in a kennel.”
