The Hickchaz Family

You can’t look me in the eye and tell me Chaz WOULDN’T own that fluffy pink robe after becoming a dad. Sorry its the law

Hickory and Chaz have a long history, having dated after meeting as bounty hunters. However, while the relationship was strong, it didn’t last too long. Unfortunately, Chaz had difficulty maintaining a healthy relationship, due to his lack of trust in others. Chaz was abandoned as a child, forced to raise himself. And growing up in a world that wasn’t very accepting to other forms of music, no family was really willing to take him. So, he grew up deceiving others to survive. He eventually became a bounty hunter, using his music to track down and allure his targets. It was a quick way to make money, to keep himself afloat.

Upon taking up a career as a bounty hunter, it put him in contact with the Yodel Brothers, where he meets Hickory. Hickory was bright eyed and cheerful, which caught Chaz’s attention. The two become friends, and eventually pursued a relationship. However, as things progressed, and Chaz found himself falling more and more for the hinderland troll, he started to become fearful. Fearful Hickory would leave him, that all of this was a farce just to use him, like others had done before. Well, that mentality led to him pushing Hickory away, and as a result, Hickory did leave.

And it wasn’t until after Hickory left did he realize his mistake. Did he realize he loved Hickory.

Jump to after the events of WT and the founding of Trollstopia. Hickory and Chaz meet once again. Things are tense, with Hickory still being heartbroken over Chaz pushing him away. Chaz isn’t sure what to do, how to prove to him he still cared for him, and even loved him. Chaz ends up seeking out Poppy, telling her the story and asking her what he should do. Poppy, eager to help any and all trolls, tells him to just explain everything to Hickory. Apologize, lay his heart out, show him that he trusts Hickory. And that’s what he does. Chaz pulls Hickory aside one day and just breaks down, telling him his whole history, how he’s never had anyone to care for him, and those who did only used him. How when he started to develop true feelings for Hickory, he became scared and started to push him away. He was so afraid of Hickory leaving him, that he caused it to happen himself.

Hickory is stunned at the display, and admittedly a bit nervous. But after listening, Hickory kneels down next to Chaz and pulls him into his chest. Chaz wasn’t alone anymore. He had him, he had the other bounty hunters, and he could have more if he wanted. He didn’t have to be alone, and he deserved love. Their friendship rekindled, and eventually, their relationship did as well.

In current day, Hickory and Dickory took up residence in Lonesome Flats, since Hickory discovered his love Country music. When he and Chaz got back together, Chaz eventually moved in with him, and the two end up getting married later down the line. A few years passed, and the two eventually had Miles. Miles is the light of their lives, and was absolutely spoiled rotten. Chaz wanted to give Miles everything he never had. A family, a home, a future.

The family remains super close, with Miles still living in Lonesome Flats. Though he did move out of his childhood home and into his own house down the road. Chaz bawled when he did, and had to be comforted by Hickory, assuring him he wasn’t going anywhere and he’s just down the street he’s gonna be okay please calm down.

Revamped my design for Hickory a bit, turned him into a whole ass fuzzy goat man. Still getting the hang of digital work, so bear with me.

I really want to make some Chazhick edits, but every time I imagine it, I realize I can't make the edit I want because all the scenes I want to use are from the make believe prequel Chazhick film in my brain 😭

Miles Müller

The only son of Hickory and Chaz, and one of the most successful performers of modern day. Suave (no he's not don't let him fool you he's a disaster), a bit of an attention hog, but caring.

Miles primarily works as a performer for various clubs across Lonesome Flats and Trollstopia. Every since he squeaked out his first note at the tender age of one, Miles couldn't stop singing. He spent his childhood honing his voice like a weapon, and when he was 20, he took to the stage. He's been a big hit ever since.

Behind the glitz and glamor, Miles is admittedly a bit shy with strangers and self conscious of his image. One of the prices of fame, unfortunately. Despite this, he has a massive support system to help him overcome his fears (mainly Brozone at the behest of Poppy).

Genre wise, Miles is all electro swing. He grew up listening primarily to jazz, swing, yodeling and country, but one day, a group of trolls with some saxophones and mixboards strolled in, and Miles was blown away. He owns several original electro swing records and he's very proud of that.

He currently resides in Lonesome Flats alongside his family, but can be found frequently in Trollstopia.

Fun Facts!

- Miles as a massive crush on Fern. Like someone help this man he's in deep and he's just making a fool of himself. Miles can't really dance, but he practices in private to try and impress Fern. He hasn't worked up the courage to show him yet, though

- Miles' best friend is Honeysuckle. They knew each other when they were super little, remaining close when she moved away. When she came back to Lonesome Flats, Miles was first on board to help her set her cafe up.

- Miles does have the ability to float around like his father does, but he can't control it well. It tends to act up while he's sleeping, and he'll often wake up pressed against the ceiling. He has to tie an ankle to the bed to keep this from happening.

- Miles can play the banjo like no ones buisness, and this embarrasses him to no end. He hopes one day he'll forget, and every few years he'll pick up the banjo to see if his skills have suffered. They have not

If there's a few words I can use best to describe Miles, it's a disaster gay. He and Honeysuckle bothm. They're the disaster gays, while their crushes, Rosebud and Fern, are the distinguishes gays. Godspeed them they're gonna need it.

But yeah!! I'll be doing a lot more digital work from now on, it's super fun! The style and bruches might change as I experiment a bit more~
