It appears that the common Cane has a preference of hiding near the backs of Apples. Perhaps they do not understand that hiding in plain sight is ineffective on one with a trained eye such as mine. Though it is possible that this one could be misinterpreting a hiding place for what is simply shelter from the wind.

Regardless of the reasons, I have my quarry. Though the hunt never ends...
