I'm not having it today

the kids in front of me are makin extremely transphobic and homophobic comments and I'm not having it. if they make one more comment about "if someone legit thought i was gay, I would want to go home and kill myself" i am going to go off. how do they think us members of the pride community feel? every single day we get assaulted with comments and actions that cause us to want to do exactly what you just said. why do you think most of us are closeted? because we don't want to kill ourselves and we don't want others to kill us. I'm just so done with this place. only two more years and I never have to deal with these idiots ever again

You say we all have freedom, but you still

Treat me like trash. You treat me as lower than you and

You undermine me in

Everything you do. I understand the pain of

Both the free and the enslaved because

I am both right now, and

Unless you change,

Things will forever be this way.

You look the other way when we pass

On the street and you tell your children to

Turn the other way. Why? I may never know.

You say we all have freedom, but

When you look at me that way,

I think differently. Nothing has changed and

Nothing ever will.

Just as always, you turn your back and leave me

Laying alone and cold after you

Beat me mercilessly. You turn your cheek when

I accuse you of your crime.

You say we all have freedom, but

When things like this happen,

I am led to believe otherwise. You always get away with

The most terrible and inhumane things, but

If I was to do the same,

We all know that I would get a life sentence.

You say we all have freedom,

But when these things happen,

I am led to believe that I don’t have this

Freedom you speak of. I am led to believe

That I am still enslaved, but

If I was to say this,

I would be ridiculed.

Unless you change,

Things will forever be this way.

I can’t remember if I have posted this before or not, so I figured posting it a second time is better than never posting it.

I wrote this back in November, but I just found it and was brought to tears. If there is anything that I am proud of, it is this.

what really makes me angry is when an ambulance is barreling down the road with lights and sirens on and none of the cars around it stop to let it by so that the paramedics and emergency workers can go save a life. some people can be so self absorbed that they can't seem to find the love inside of them to know that the person that those emergency workers are going to save could be a loved one of yours. and also add on the fact that these emergency workers have probably been working for 10+ hours already. just imagine how many lives they have saved. those who work in emergency services (and especially ambulance workers) deserve so much more love and respect and support than they get.
